We ate at La Luna - located in a quiet alley close to the university - twice during a long weekend stay in Salamanca, eating outdoors both times, once at lunchtime, the second time in the evening. The menu del dia (12 euros for lunch) becomes the menu noche (reduced to 11 euros) at night, but with the same selection... More

The piella was OK but I'm a bit annoyed at being served canned beer. Surely you can do better! All the same, it's in a nice situation.

If you're on a tight budget, the evening 3 courses for 10 euros can't be beaten. The plate of cold meats for the first course was very good and the stuffed aubergine main was a good replacement for the pork dish, which was off. The desserts weren't so good, but you get what you pay for and 2 ot of... More

I´ve been living in Spain for a couple of months. This restaurant took my attention because there were a lot of people eating outside. The waitress was friendly and explained to me about the dish which I had doubts on. I drank vino tinto de la casa and it sucked. The bread also sucked as if it was old. Then... More

We noticed this busy restaurant at lunch time, and returned in the evening. The evening price for the menu del dia was cheaper than the lunch time price! I guess this is because during the day there are lots of passing tourists, but in the evening this is not a street used by tourists. The meal was very good for... More

This very small restaurant was an ideal stop for our morning breakfast. The service was excellent and we had no trouble with the waiter or the bill - in fact we had fun practising our Spanish and visited a second morning

The restaurant does classic tricks to make tourists pay more. One of them is suddently not speaking English or even Spanish, when you ask questions about the bill. Especially not if they get caught in adding non-buys to the bill. Also expect to be yelled at, if you catch them doing tricks

Offers a 10€ Menu del Dia with a slightly wider choice than most, including a wider range of salads, and a vegetarian option in each of the 1st and 2nd courses - although on our visit these both used the same vegetable filling - very nice, but not ideal. However, some of the salad options could have been varied for... More

My wife and I found this restaurant (in the tourist heart of Salamanca) by accident after escaping from our bad experience at Restaurant Lis. In comparison, La Luna was a breath of fresh air. The staff were friendly and the food, whilst not going to win any Michelin stars, was nicely cooked and very tasty. A steady stream of locals,... More
