This restaurant was recommended to us by our hotel receptionist. It was in walking distance so we decided to try it. The restaurant was packed, even though it was a Thursday evening. You could have Tapas at the bar with a drink or wait for a table. We put our names down for a table and despite the queue, were... More

The place is nice and cozy for tapas, the staffs are charming and some of them can speak English a little bit. The only important point is : Go to this place if you are in love with sea food. I liked the egg plant and goat cheese and honey codd fish, but I am not a huge fan of... More

I have visited regularly Ciudad Condal over the last 10 years so teh first comment is that this restaurant will impact differently to first visitors than to regular ones. Why? Mainly because the tapas have remain the same over this long period of time. I understand that they do not need to change their business model that of course is... More

Whenever friends visit, the inevitable question "where can we get some good tapas like the locals enjoy?". The answer is easy: Ciutat Comtal🍻, delicious fresh produce. Good atmosphere, great beer. Enjoy, Henry

You will wait in line! Seems to attractive tourists. Was recommended by hotel. First visit we had a wonderful and helpful waitress who explained and suggested a nice variety of tapas. A week later we returned, but this visit was not as enjoyable as the first. Our server seemed impatient while we made our selections and seemed overwhelmed with serving... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighbourhood Profile
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
