My husband and I are staying next door to this gorgeous place and have had our breakfast, lunch and tea here today. The food is really lovely and fresh and the service is excellent. We could not fault it and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a snacky place to eat. The chocolates look divine too!

A great find. A local Catalonia cafe, wonderful decor, just look up at the ceiling too, with beautiful pastries and savoury snacks. We called in for breakfast and had some lovely things. Very relaxing and great to people watch if you have the time. We arrived around 10.15 and it got very busy by mid morning. The cakes are amazing.

Best charming place with old vintage decoration, traditional catalan floors, waiters and unimaginable cajes, pastries, chocolats, nougats, candies and best cafe con leche in town. Also excellent menu offer for lunch. Enjoy the place just at La Rambla Catalunya .

It's overall a nice cafe and you have to choose from amazing cakes. Unfortunately my friend and I got very sick. Normally I would be careful pointing fingers because food poising can have various root causes. But in that case it was quite obvious since we ate there breakfast (first bite that day) and got both sick at the same... More

Excellent tapas and a huge variation of deserts. Fresh, tasty food with a high standard service. Established in 1929 and still keeps a unique environment!

Waiter was very nice but the menu was simply horrible. Pasta and chicken were cold. Pasta was overcooked and had no salt and the oriental chicken with peanuts had no sauce and no peanuts.

this place is set up as part pastry shop and the other side has the drinks. Well organized and the desserts were delicious. Lots of sweets to choose from...good service...busy afternoon spot.

The worst lunch I ever had, I suppose. Chicken salad without chicken, second plate served without cutlery, no attention from the waiters and smelly fish burger on top of this. Awful. Best aware.

This place was highly rated on TripAdvisor so I just had to check it out. The desserts were great and it has a really traditional old school feel; lots of groups of older ladies enjoying a sweet and cafe. The coffee does seem to be be from a machine and mostly foam which was a little disappointing. Good system whereby... More

The Mauri pastisseria is a very traditional old Catalan bakery that not only offers an amazing variety of cakes, pies, baguette sandwitches and cooked foods but also a very romantic modernist environement which will for sure add to your experience there. I higly recomment sitting inside, at least to see the interior of the pastisseria. It is in fact a... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighbourhood Profile
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
