Food was fine; We ordered Fideua and Rossejat for lunch which was fairly tasty although nothing special. Location is good, we were sat outside, since the weather was fab. Service was ok from the waiter serving us but the lady in the entrance sitting people around was rude. The main reason for 1-2 stars review is down to the final... More

Very popular place with people queuing for a table. Great range of tapas (including egg and chips), reasonably price and great atmosphere.

I notice that some of the reviews are pretty negative. However we had a brilliant time with excellent food and terrific service. After a long walk down from Hotel Arts to the docks and into the port we needed refuelling. Six of us shared a wide range of food and enjoyed all the dishes. This is clearly a number 1... More

Came here with a group. Not sure about costs as was paid for, but think fairly expensive. I thought food was nice and service efficient if not overly friendly but couple of colleagues didn't enjoy so much. Had 3 types of paella and said a bit bland ! Wouldn't rush back but not bad.

I can only say that this restaurant doesn't deserve even to be mentioned. At 11pm the kitchen closes and they start to push you out. And it is in Barcelona where most of restaurants close at 1am. The food is extremely expensive and nothing special. A small zarzuela at 38 eur is an exageration. But worst of all, the personnel... More

Very nice view from restaurant and very good service. All starters were very tasty. As main dish I had "Trio Pinxo" - there are three versions of paella. I am not an expert in Spanish food, but for me it was good, but there is a space to improve the taste.

The location overlooking the marina made this restaurant worth a visit - especially as the sun was out. Average all round and not a must-do visit.

Choose this lovely location for a tapas lunch ..... the unfriendly waitress spoilt our visit ..... please look to some staff training, a smile goes a long way. Your food was pleasant but not spectacular and we now would certainly not return to eat in your restaurant.

Expensive, bad food, unfriendly staff, just a tourist trap. Can not recomend for dining, only for drinks. There are so many better restaurants in town, just check tripadvisor. They even charge for bread you dont eat. Seafood was not fresh, atleast not for us.

Thank Joni N

With amazing views of the Port Vell Marina, Cal Pinxo is decorated to be carefully informal in all the soft blues and aquas of the sea and sky. The restaurant has broad windows and a terrace directly looking out onto the Mediterranean. After postres, you can take a stroll on the marina or in the Barceloneta. The menu is classic Catalan with special emphasis on things that swim. Start with a plate of fresh clams then do not miss their paella, then maybe some creme catalana or egg flan. Service is professional and quick, and there's a children's menu, too.

Staying in Barceloneta

Neighbourhood Profile
Originally a fisherman’s quarter, this quaint area can’t escape its small village feel: laundry hanging over the narrow streets, old ladies clamoring at each other from their balconies and elder gentlemen playing games on short wooden benches gossiping the day away, Barceloneta could double as a film set. Artists line the boardwalk displaying their magnificently detailed sand structures making this the most visited beach in the city (the shirtless men working out might help too). You’ll know by the delicious aroma that you're in the right place to try some of the best and most authentic seafood including paella, Spain’s national dish.
