this was an average experience, paella was not a proper one looked more like rice with fish on, calamari were okish, the "pescadido" probably was the best dish. Again is not bad but definitely not a meal i will remember.

Our waiter was friendly, prompt, and accommodating. Having ordered the calamari, and pan con tomate, I can say that the food was out of this world, and the white wine sangria has set a whole new high bar!

Don't visit this restaurant except if you want very, very rude service! We ordered food and drinks, but left the place before they served it because of their rude behavior. They didn't even say anything when we left. Very bad place. Go to Shoko instead!...More

We stopped for lunch. It was a busy place woth a good vibe and lovely view. We were happy with the food and the prices although on higher side were also ok. Food was good. Service also excellent and they have a large menu.

Service is meant to be attentioned but feels rushed because three different waiters come ask the same question about taking orders one after the other. Food is mediocre. The location is top, that's it.

Description
L'Escamarlá in on the sea front in a privileged position on Barcelona's esplanade. Simple and unpretentious Mediterranean cooking can be enjoyed on its terrace, based on the best fish and the freshest shellfish. Its menu includes seafood, rice and fried dishes, as well as house recommendations that include sea bass in salt, whole sea bream or lobster ?a la plancha?. There is also a range of meat dishes and special menus for groups or corporate dining. Many of the dishes are for two people.
