My wife and I visited this restaurant close to Las Rambla and both times have good meals. Restaurant has been around 47 years and with all of the cool stable ( used to be a horse stable) memorabilia and nice artwork. Our server Joaquin was great and attentive. All food we enjoyed had a nice taste and also there was... More

Very pleasent atmospheric place with democratic prices. It was really great to find a place like this near city center.

Had a beef with a colleague. Taste good, nice restaurant and polite service. Close to Ramblas so easy to find. And not pricey. Recommended.

I visited Julivert Meu with my family, and we went down to the dining area which is slightly under ground. The food was very very good, and they had everything that makes a restaurant good. They even had wifi for the kids. Nice surroundings and very nice vibes. The wine was very good too, and i will recommend this restaurant... More

Went into this restaurant for an early tea, we were the only customers in. We asked the waiter to bring us ten of his best tapas, and he did! The food was fresh and plentiful and the service excellent. By the time we left the restaurant was full!

Had really nice food here today with my hubs. We stopped in around 2:30pm today and it was already busy which is a good sign. I found the prices fair considering the touristy neighborhood and interior decor. The menu has English translations as well as other languages. My husband ordered the traditional sausage with white beans and roasted red peppers... More

The food was good, as was the service. This traveller didn't know why garlic cloves were supplied with the bread until the waiter came over and demonstrated. We rather over-ate with three full courses at dinner, but enjoyed them all. Definitely worth a visit if you like good, reasonably priced food.

Decent Catalan food at a pretty decent price served by friendly staff in a nice old fashioned dinning hall (I would recommend sitting at the back as the door creates a draft). It is nothing exceptional but given it's only a few steps from La Ramblas it's a bargain.

Families or groups of friends filled up the restaurant. The first thing I noticed, sitting alongside their wine selection is that I had 50% of their featured wines in my home seller and their prices were in the 15 to 23 euro range, the same price I was paying for the wine in the United States. Excellent, mid-range wine and... More

Staying in El Raval

Neighbourhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
