I must disclose up front that my wife and I have been regulars of this small restaurant for years. In fact in the last 30+ years we have tried every single option in Sarrià. Many of these were actually very good but for one reason or another they were gone or have switched hands. The Gerbard since several years ago... More

Don't give up if you see a quiet bar walking in carrer Ivorra, it's a very friendly bar restaurant where you can eat some deliciuos dishes like Galizian octopus or pembrot de Padrò (more or less spicy depending on the season) or simply drinkin a beer while watching a football match (it's not so quiet in this case!). If you... More

Gerbard is a small Bar/Restaurant with surprises in the form of live concerts (unplugged or not), art expositions, football matches (the owners are football fans). The ambience is cozy, nice, makes you feel well with your friends. It's full of locals and local foreign musicians (American or other musicians that live in Barcelona). Food is simple and nice. Good beer... More

We had been searching for a bar to grab a much needed beer and glass of wine when we found this little place down a side street . The decor was rustic and the wall art a bit racy if you're of a certain age but we loved it. It also offered various entertainment events, as listed on the wall... More

I am a regular of Gerbard: it is the right place to meet friends from the neighborhood, but it is also fantastic to people who want to know the real Sarriá. Great food, great music (when there are concerts) and a limitless kindness. Thanks Mar!

This little neighbourhood bar used to have a green door with panes that rattled when you opened it, but it has now been replaced with something more solid, partly to keep the sound in. It's run by Mar and Nacho, both dyed-in-the-wool cules (Barcelona supporters), and nights there are long and loud. You can hear Sam Lardner, an American resident who plays his own fusion of flamenco and bossa nova, or wonderful classical and flamenco guitarist like Dani Figueras and Pedro J. Hermosilla, or the Covers Project, with frontman Philip Stanton. The eating and drinkin are delicious too - Glician- style octopus, traditional meatballs, and good wine. A great night out in the Alta Zona. - The Guardian-Saturaday 20.03.10 - Rupert Thomson, author living in Barcelona.
