We were here on recommendations from a friend of mine. We made a reservation 9.30 pm and arrived 9.20. We had to wait for our table 30 minutes because the place was full. That was not a problem for us but we did not get anything for the wait, which disappoint me a little. But, the food made it worth... More

We may have ordered a choice we regretted. You should try it and write a review. We may try it again when we travel through Barcelona--but--with 2,500+ choices--probably not...

Absolutely delicious. Great atmosphere. Fantastic service. Best meal we had in Barcelona by far. Top menu tip - asparagus spears or honey and mustard ribs. Or both.

My husband and I visited Tapeo after extensive research (and it happened to be at the end of the lane of our rented accomodation). We ordered loads (even going in for seconds!) and we don't regret a single thing! We initially ordered 6 tapas but we enjoyed the ribs (kinda a TripAdvisor fav it seems) and the 'patatas bravas' so... More

Lovely meal in small comfortable surroundings. Advisable to book like we did as does get very busy. We sat at the bar and found the staff chatty and friendly. Everything we had was amazing especially the beef cheeks and pork ribs. Highly recommended

First of all, Tapeo takes reservations and accepts credit cards. Both a plus in my book and not a given for many Barcelona restaurants. I would recommend any meat dish that has the chimmichuri sauce (tasty!) and the pork ribs with honey are tender and delicious. Rarely do I recommend dessert, but Tapeo offers several - all of which are... More

Looks great from the outside, but we were put in a very boring room in the back. The food was good and service average.

This packed little tapas bar serves up amazing hamburgers with truffle mayanoise (but you might need two to fill you up) and ham croquettes. You might have a short wait for a table but it's well worth it.

This is one of the best tapas meals I have had. Group of four had dinner here and we all loved the collection of tapas that we ordered. Highly recommend the Ibérico pork ribs, cod fritters and the skirt of beef with chimichurri. Our favorite was the Fideuá black Catalan cuttlefish pasta - must try. For dessert, the Catalan custard... Staying in El Born / La Ribera

Neighbourhood Profile
El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few places that live and breathe such exciting energy regardless of the time of day. This neighbourhood seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants ranging from fancy Michelin-star establishments to trendy fusion restaurants. Here you'll find historical and cultural attractions such as the popular Picasso Museum and the Gothic cathedral La Santa Maria del Mar, where you just might be able to catch a traditional Catalan wedding.
