This is not the largest restaurant but it is always busy so book first. Lunch would appear to start at 14.00 and there were no seats available without reservation. We had a variety of dishes, all good especially the gambas al ajillo, the fillet steak...More

Recommended by a With Locals tour guide (who also does a great tasting tour - Favourite Food Tour: 10 Tastings), Marcella. The food was fantastic - particularly the seafood and the full octopus (pulpo) arm was particularly good. Sat at the bar with David who...More

We had no reservation, but Yolanda somehow found a table for us as we were so early. She and the bartender were so gracious and hospitable that we would have enjoyed the evening anyway, but the FOOD was Fabulous, as was the wine. Make a...More

Bar Ramon is what set the bar for Spanish food on my trip. We got there pretty much when they opened for dinner service ( make reservations!). The place was practically empty so we were seated right away. 20 minutes in the place was packed!...More

Spent a week in Barcelona and went to various places recommended online. Bar Ramon beat expectations and then some. Amazing tapas, great wine, great atmosphere. Cannot recommend this place enough. We were lucky and managed to get a table but booking is recommended.

Had a terrific Saturday night here. An authentic, low-key convivial atmosphere. Fabulous service but you will need to know some spanish. Enjoyed really tasty tapas, steak and wonderful Ribera del Duero wine. Lager drinkers would enjoy it from the iced mugs. Was packed out by...More

I wanted to try this place after reading some reviews and realizing that it was barely a block from where we're staying. Totally lives up to its reputation. Yolande was so gracious to accommodate us on the early side, help us pick out some tapas...More

Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this
gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an

spots in the entire city. A sense of humble
authenticity protrudes from the many independent
record stores, second hand shops, and student bars
that seem to light up the streets day and night. The
rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day
