Great starters. Octopus salad and baby squid and beans Catalan style. Sea food paella was excellent. We had a very good Rioja with excellent service. Difficult to fault.

We ate in the restaurant here twice during our stay, food was delicious, we had mixed grilled fish, steak, monkfish and prawn dishes. Food and service was excellent and very reasonably priced.

We asked for gambas in hot oil with garlic and what we got was an awful asian-like gummy meal. The waiter added two small bread rolls 1.4Euro each!!(?) What a nightmare, stay away from this place, there are so many other lovely restaurants nearby.

Let's start by saying the Rambla Pueblo Nuevo has a vast number of restaurants to choose from, each vying for your business but you do not get mithered the way you do on Les Ramblas. It is a semi-pedestrianized road with only mopeds/bicycles/rollerblades going past. Seating outside or inside depending on light/warmth. From the outside this place has a elegant... More

Great for a quick beer and a snack. Lovely family owned place that is pretty typical for the neighborhood.

This was a restaurant close to the hotel we were at and the menu looked pretty decent with decent prices. It was a disappointment. The seafood was plentiful in the paella but it was incredibly salty that neither of us could eat it. The chicken wings were pretty good though.

I had lunch here today, the "today menu". First was a salad with ham and red peppers. When my salad was served and I started to dress it with the "extra virgin olive oil" bottle that was on the table (Borges brand), I realized it actually was sunflower oil!! I took pictures of it, it was not even olive oil,... More

Visited during the El Clasico soccer game weekend and ate here on the first night we got to Barcelona. It was a 15 minute walk from our hotel. We were looking for a restaurant that had good fish dishes. When I asked if there was anything other than fish, the waiter said no. This was disappointing because I am allergic... More

Very good grilled fish, good service, excellent location. We stayed very near here and although we only ate there once, we saw many people enjoying meals nightly

Asked us to try the wine. It was undrinkable. Told him we did not want it and he complained that the bottle was open. I suggested that was their problem and refused to pay for it. Then we received our pizzas. They were bland, doughy and stodgy. Really not pleasant. During our food a waiter turned the TV up so... More

Staying in Poblenou

Neighbourhood Profile
The futuristic Agbar Tower stands out from Barcelona's skyline in Poblenou. It is no coincidence then that this area of town is the newly crowned technological park of the city, its own mini Silicon Valley containing a tech incubator (Barcelona Activa) as well as a host of local and international high tech companies. To accommodate the onrush of new residents and workers, the area of Poblenou has seen a surge of activity in new high-rise residential buildings and two top-notch shopping centres catering to everyone's need. The ambiance of this area is calmer than the city center and the beautifully relaxing Bogatell Beach, popular with locals, is just a handful of blocks away.
