Shopping in this area was wonderful. Little shops with unusual objects and souvenirs. The pedestrian areas are the best part of Barcelona. You experience the life of a native! Food is fresh!

Best sandwiches in Barcelona, plain and simple. Delicious, fresh and top quality products for a very fair price. Every time I take a friend there they instantly become regulars. No wonder.

Had brats and beer on the square from this bonfire hole in the wall. Simply awesome. Brats sliced in half, grilled and served on a toasted roll with warm mustard. Delish!

In this square there are two perfect places to eat bodaillos, Frakfurt Sant Jaume is one of them. It is cheap, please do the line, the time will be worth. They have a great variety of sandwiches, choose any one.

In a town where it is still difficult to find a decent sandwich (hard baguettes with unimaginative fillings usually.....) this is definitely one of the highlights. They are not gourmet, and not totally different to the other sausage places you find across the entire country, but the use of the grilling press (kinda like a George Foreman) just makes these... Neighbourhood Profile
Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)
With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighbourhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local musicians lasting late into the night. Fashionistas will be drawn to Portal de L’Angel, which is lined with well-known brand names and smaller boutique stands.
