We chose this place for a special occasion and it is worth every single cent. Located in a not-so-turistic area of Barcelona, away from the crowded city centre, it is a real gem. Quiet atmosphere, great and professional service and every single dish we ate was excellent. The price might seem a bit high but we found it correct according... More

In short all dishes we had were superb. probably on the expensive side, but I never have to pay myself :) I loved especially the desert described as: warm apple tatin, yogurt and cheese, argule and Papantla vanilla ice cream. Not sure what it all means but the rucola salad on top of apple Tatin was brilliant.

Expensive treat of amazing seafood, crab croquettes, Squid so soft and so well cooked and presented, and finally a Lobster type paella to die for. Or try next door same group of restaurants for Tapas

My husband doesn't eat fish so the restaurant (specialized in raw fish) was not the best option. The service was great and tried to adapt to our preferences, they even offered us a desert out of the menu! Wagyu is amazing, also the steak trartar and the single pieces of seafood prepared in different ways. Good option, quite expensive but... More

Food for your senses. I loved the oysters, and the tomato tartar and the beef... oh the food was really delicious. I found the interior a bit cold (we were upstairs) but the service was very nice and warm.

I visited the place with my couple for celebrating Christmast, we had one of our best culinary experience ever. Despite we were there for the first time we didn't ask the menu but we asked different dishes. To my opinion, the turbot was the best one, you can even eat the spines, and the lobster tartar was the second place.... More

I went to this restaurant yesterday. The foods were good. The staffs were better. Even I have just tried only 30s restaurant in Barcelona, Espai Kru is one of the two restaurant I enjoyed every dish I had ordered. I'm back one day.

On the basis of ours and our friends Barcelona restaurant experiences this restaurant seems to be the most refined seafood venue in this restaurant rich city. I am not a shellfish fan (I enjoyed a very nicely prepared sea bass), but my wife is and here she thought herself to arrived in seafood paradise: selection, variety, innovative but not overly... I've been to around 60-70 restaurants in my 3 years in Barcelona and I was always excited to try Espai Kru, which is on the expensive side so I was saving for some form of special occasion. Having been, I can honestly say I think this might be the best restaurant in Barcelona. I'm not a particularly adventurous eater so... More

It was supposed to be a dinner with business partners and it turned into an amazing dinner with fresh and tasty seafood served in special dished. Each fish had the specific type of dish and presentation. Perfect place for a valuable dinner and for special occasions, in here you will leave the sign! Very kind staff and good service. Prices... Description
The upstairs of Rias de Galicia becomes a "sea" of little dishes, more casual, more fun, more imaginative, and more economical. A modern setting, with a kitchen bar where chefs prepare many dishes in front of customers. Two Rías in one. The menu has two parts. The main one based on elaborations without fire, is an anthem to the "product". And a second one where we discover the fire.

Staying in Montjuic

Neighbourhood Profile
Montjuic
Beyond the four columns standing guard at the Plaça Espanya, beyond even the extravagant and colourful fountains guiding your way up the boulevard, stands the impressive and towering structure of the Palau Nacional, the national museum. At this very spot in front of the cascades of the central fountain, Freddie Mercury and Montserrat Caballe gave the performance of their lifetimes to welcome the 1992 Olympic Games to this magnificent city. And true to its anticipation, the games transformed the city, reimagining the mountain of Montjuic with the development of an arena, stadium, and many other sporting facilities that are open to visitors year-round. Surrounding the adjacent side of the plaza are well-established hotels catering to business guests and a shopping mall transformed out of a historic bullfighting arena.
