Myself and my partner were walking down Las Ramblas looking for somewhere to eat and Granjas menu caught our eye. We were taken to sit inside their restaurant which was particularly on the small side and a little uncomfortable. Interior was plain and simple but clean. We both ordered pasta, my partner ordered a cheesy ravioli and I got carbonara.... More

We were only in Barcelona for a short stay but we returned here for coffee and cake every day because the staff were very welcoming and friendly. By the third day the waitress knew our order without asking. Good coffee, good food, good friendly service, great value, we will definitely return next time in Barcelona.

We were staying nearby and dropped in for dinner outside on the street in the heated tent. Food was really good, service was friendly and prices were cheap, what's not to like.

We had the menu of the day. Four choices of first course, four of second and dessert. Simple and good. 25 euro including wine for two. Not bad.

My husband and I had just left our luggage at the hotel after disembarking from our cruise ship. We had a scheduled excursion at 2 pm so we decided to have lunch first. We passed by this restaurant on our way to Placa del Catalunya, from the hotel. We liked the menu, so we sat down for lunch. I ordered... More

"...well we were in a rush to catch our flight and needed a quick bite (my partner and i)...in the midst of Barcelona;s busy streets we came across this little canopy in between the streets and then we thought, why not sit. Once we 'grabbed' the waitress's attention, she was on us like wet rice- service was quick because we... More

I think it's the same establishment we went to twice. I'll upload some pics too. You'll see another year on the paper plate. Great food though! Had buns, shrimps, snails, tortilla, coffee. Everything was of good quality. Best thing: locals. No tourists and still run by locals. (the vicinity is packed with Chinese taking over) Kindly served by somewhat older... More

if we weren't so hungry and tired of the high prices we would have walked on. Horrific service, bad food and a salt coma afterwards. I had seafood paella - a pan of rice with 3 tiny shrimps and a squid tube or 2 thrown in. Let's not forget the handful of salt. My friend ordered a pizza as nothing... More

Ok, so according to the health app on phone, we have now walked 20480 steps, it's really hot, we have been awake since 4am, the kids have decided after our tapas lunch that they fancy pizza for dinner... We have walked the whole length of 'rambla' and can't find the one they saw earlier. In desperation, we commit to stopping... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighbourhood Profile
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
