We had a phenomenal meal where our waiter made all the choices for us! Each of our 9 tapas was special and delicious.

I go from time to time to Tickets, one of the restaurants run by Albert Adria. I was NEVER disappointed. I am a big fan, as well as my family, of his kitchen . Last saturday, the 18th of March, we decided to try Bodega 1900 with friends. We were so looking forward. Everything went wrong. We booked our table... More

Went for lunch to the bodega. We let the waiter bring us a selection of food, after his asked first what we don't like or have allergies. This was a fantastic experience. Great dishes came from see food to meat over to desert. All little portions but more than 12 dishes of great satisfaction. Simple, small restaurant. Even some of... More

We picked Bodega1900 for dinner as one of the restaurants run by Albert Adria. It was a great choice. Deciding what to eat can be a challenge so we went with our waiters suggestion for a 10 course unofficial tasting menu. It was a great suggestion as we had a real opportunity to taste a little bit of everything. The... More

My husband and I LOVE food. We travel to eat! I made reservations at Bodega 1800 for our first night in Barcelona. I loved that the decor was not overdone, and was quite simple. Our waiter was great! We did the chef tasting menu and had some of the best bites of our trip from it. We loved the olive... More

Visited Barcelona with my wife for a long weekend, this place was incredible. The liquid olives, were delicious. Iberian ham. Lots of small dishes to try, taste and devour. Word of warning: your bill will rack up if like us you wanted to eat everything on the menu. Money well spent. We loved it and will definitely be back.

Seven males just wanting to enjoy a Christmas dinner in a good place to eat. We had a fixed menu and some amazing good wines. To start with the end... DO NOT MISS the cheesecake. The best I have tasted in years! Then the meat... it was supposed to be cooked in a hot iron but.. we ate half of... More

Bodega 1900 inherited one of the most amazing taste experiences you will ever have with its spherical olive, a surviving specialty from El Bulli. Spain's great seafood is featured in specialties like sea anemone served in the shell, small mussels in a delicate base, tempura style small whole fish, anise ice cream on a pastry with pine nuts and salted... When I read the good reviews for this place I wondered where these persons have been eating. It is easy to find this kind of good,or even much better in a lot of restaurants around the city, like El Nacional, Cerveceria Catalana, Taverna Maitea, Quimet I Quimet, Gasterea, Cal Pepe... The only thing worth eating was the olive. A saying... More

Staying in El Raval

Neighbourhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
