We were too hungry to search for anything special on T.A. and just came in. It turned out to be exactly what we wanted. The food was nicely prepared and very tasty. We did the menu of the day which was delicious and a great value at €13 (olives, first and main, wine and dessert). Should be rated higher.

For the last day of the trip, we were really looking forward to a great dinner. However we left really disappointed. Gnocchi were undercooked and soggy, steak dish was really small. We left ripped off and hungry. Would have been just one star without the ham croquettes. They were ok. I would not recommend this place for anyone looking for... More

Ducked into this place to escape the mid day sun and to have some sangria. Big mistake! The set menu, which was all we could order was some pretty made dishes that tasted nothing and looked like something out of a trash can. And the aforementioned sangria tasted like stale Fanta tropic! And to add insult to injury it was... More

13 euro for a frozen paella dish, no wonder it seemed cheap. My friend ordered a burger, it was frozen and cooked in the microwave. Gross

Ate a dinner there with my partner. We were walking past and randomly thought we'll try this place for some Spanish vegetable paellas. The food was awesome! I've never tried any traditional Spanish food before and I really liked their vegetable paella. Got stuffed with one portion which was around 13 euro. Guy that served us spoke English a little... My partner and I enjoyed our meal and found the staff very pleasant and obliging. I had a Japanese style tuna dish, which was very tasty and my partner thought his duck in plum sauce very good and well cooked. A good end to our few days in Barcelona.

This is an excellent place for a combined lunch offer: two meals, a drink and a dessert for just 8.99 euro (which is pretty low for Rambla surroundings). I've sincerely enjoyed my gaspacho, beef steak (thin but tasty) and cheesecake. These meals may not be iconic, but they are tasty, Spanish, and cheap. Thanks, Tra-Llers!

Very good tapas menu (9 different tapas included) with drinks and a final mochito. Small bar/restaurant but good and not expensive (15 euros per person)

Staying in El Raval

Neighbourhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
