A small but quite comfortable place to go with your closest friends. An interesting fusion of international cuisine flavours. Good crafted beer

It's a simple concept related to fried balls but it is executed perfectly and economically. I had the shrimp balls in a pita wrap and it was one of my food highlights of Barcelona. I've never come across a restaurant like it but it's well worth a visit when in Barcelona.

We wanted to have a break from the trends of tapas and Italian restaurants dotted around Barcelona city centre, and A Tu Bola was exactly that. An interesting take on a Turkish institution brought Spanish flavours to these interesting dishes. I had the Mexican pork balls with fresh polenta and my girlfriend had the vegetarian beetroot option (pictured). We were... More

My girlfriend and I spent a week in Barcelona and ate extremely well on a number of occasions. A Tu Bola was however the best by quite a margin. The Gambes/ Shrimp Balls were a personal favourite of mine, spicy and full of flavour. For something that looks to have so few elements and in turn to have such complex... More

Service was awesome and meal came out quick. It was fairly empty but filled up pretty quickly after opening. The meal was on point. We were done getting meals that costed 50 euros for two so this shop that was around 25 euros for two was perfect.

Had to try this place - great reviews and it was literally at the end of "our" street. Tiny place, a few tables and space at the bar. Eight (I think) different 'ball' options, each available as a single, a double with pita, or a threesome as a plate, each with its own individual side (not just a garnish). Asian... More

After reading the tripadvisor reviews we decided to come here for a quick bite before dinner. The staff were friendly and attentive (slight hipster vibe) and the food was ready very quickly. There weren't that many seats but we visited when it wasn't too busy. We had the Asian chicken ball in a pita and the Mexican meatballs on a... More

Came by here whilst trying to look for something other than your typical Spanish Tapas which we've been eating all trip. Best decision of the trip by far. This place serves meatballs, either in pita wraps (stuffed with tomatoes, herbs, peppers, tzatzikis etc) or on the plate with a side. INCREDIBLE. I had a pita with 2 beef balls in... More

After reading about the restaurant on trip advisor we had to try it out! The food was amazing! We had Hummus and pitta followed by Asian chicken plate and spicy pork pitta, all washed down with a homemade lemonade! Every mouthful was a taste explosion! Lunch all in cost 20€ Will definitely recommend and return soon!

Staying in El Raval

Neighbourhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
