At the end of the tour you can taste 6 diferent types of cured ham accompanied by a glass of cava, wine or beer (for me the cava is the best combination, it was even a nice cava). This is the best part of the experience, because you start tasting a normal cured spanish ham (Serano), then an Iberian ham... More

The variety of hams is incredible . You can buy a whole ham, a sandwich or a small serving in a cup. They also have a good wine selection. My favorite ham is the bellota. The pigs are fed a diet of hazelnuts and the ham has a unique and wonderful taste.

If you like food this is certainly a thing to do. A very nice introduction to the Spanish Jamon Culture! First a multimedia presentation, but nicely done! Not boring at all and very visual! This followed by a tasting including drinks ( a glas of cava, red wine, a beer or a soft drink). Reasonable pricing because the cost of... More

We went as a group of 4 for the museum experience plus Jamon tasting. We got in with our Barcelona passes- if we had paid the admission prices we would have felt ripped off. The museum/tour was very poor, the lights seemed to fail at several points and we were left in complete darkness, having to navigate by phone lights!... More

The Jamon experience is a wonderful introduction into one facet of Spanish culture. Downstairs is a multimedia presentation regarding every aspect of Jamon production. Many question we had regarding the different types of Jamon were answered. We did the tasting and thought it was well worth it. It gave us a better understanding of the different flavors and why certain... More

We didn't do the tasting because it seemed a bit expensive. But the staff was friendly and super helpful, the tour is fully automated which is pretty neat. It skips the slaughter part completely so if you are faint of heart you can still enjoy the tour. My main with was that there was some way to ask questions after... More

Jamón was only one of the items of this experience probably the best of them, but and the croquettas? The eggs and tortillas? Not to mention the wines. Add to all this a beautiful place exquisitely decorated, impeccable service, done by very kind and devoted people. The price is just, moderate to high, but I can not say it is... More

We didn't know what to expect from this activity included in our Barcelona Pass, but we had a good surprise. It begins with a multimedia presentation, very interesting, explaining what makes iberic jamon so special. Then you go to the degustation area where the host gives you a plate with a variety of jamon, and she explains the differences between... More

Visited Jamon Experience during our trip to Barcelona, the tour was really interesting and and the Jamon tasting was really delicious. Great value for money and included a glass of wine or cava! We even ate in the tapas bar afterwards, the tapas was great!! Would definitely recommend!

Staying in La Rambla

Neighbourhood Profile
La Rambla
Barcelona's most famous street was once a dry riverbed. Now, La Rambla is a 1200-metre boulevard, and a major draw for visitors. During the day, La Rambla fills with pedestrians, some of which stroll past impressive human statues and artists while others take a break to people-watch while enjoying a drink at one of the many terraces. Housed here is the iconic Boqueria Market that offers one of the most varied and appetising selections of local produce and specialty meats and treats. While it’s important for tourists to keep an eye on their belongings at all times, this area is most safely explored in the daytime and is a must see for everyone who visits.
