Boadas has a great reputation, and rightly so. Located just off La Rambla it is quite a small bar. We were lucky to find it not too busy. Wew asked for a menu, to which they said they don't do menus. This implies you can ask for any cocktail and they will know it. I opted for a Moscow Mule... More

Great service and loved the cocktails. No menu and you tell them to make your own. Loved it. Definite visit

Lovely little bar just off the Rambles. The bar staff are dressed in tuxedos and the atmosphere is really pleasant. We drank cocktails which were made by hand (no blenders) and tasted divine. A tad pricey, I paid £24 euros for a pina colada and a lynchburg lemonade but it's well worth a visit.

We found this bar by accident late last Thursday evening what a brilliant place. Small cosy, oak panels all round and full of local people it's great not to mention the excellent cocktails we had mojito and G&T both superb. Will be back!

I had read a few reviews about this bar and they were all correct. What a great place ! We visited on three occasion and the bartenders remembered exactly what we drank. This is very much a local "Cheers" and they make everyone feel welcome. I drink Jack Daniels on the rocks and it cannot be fixed bad. My wife... More

We went here for a few cocktails whilst on holiday in Barcelona! The two guys behind the bar were super friendly and the customer service was all round superb!! We were told that there was no menu but to tell them what we wanted and they'd make it no problem! The bar is very small and got busy very quickly,... More

Personally our favourite cocktail bar in Barcelona, we ended up going to 4/5 cocktail bars whilst we were out there. Couldn't recommend this place enough.

We were told by friends to try Boadas on our recent trip to Barcelona and could not have been more pleased to find such an unspoilt, fabulous little cocktail bar. Walking through the door, we were immediately transported back to the 1930s, the era in which the bar first opened. It is so rare, these days, to find a place... More

The oldest cocktail bar in Spain... opened on 1933 - hasn't changed hands since then. Grandfather to mother to grandson. Mother was second only woman to be Head cocktail bar person at a time when women still weren't allowed to drink in bars!! Great history - fabulous cocktails and the most enthusiastic and dedicated Head barman in the lovely Adal.... More

Lovely cocktail bar which we read up on trip advisor before our visit. Would recommend a visit here! although its very small inside (only allows around 30 people in at a time). No menu! The staff knew exactly what cocktail it was you asked for! Lovely visit - would go again.

Staying in La Rambla

Neighbourhood Profile
La Rambla
Barcelona's most famous street was once a dry riverbed. Now, La Rambla is a 1200-metre boulevard, and a major draw for visitors. During the day, La Rambla fills with pedestrians, some of which stroll past impressive human statues and artists while others take a break to people-watch while enjoying a drink at one of the many terraces. Housed here is the iconic Boqueria Market that offers one of the most varied and appetising selections of local produce and specialty meats and treats. While it’s important for tourists to keep an eye on their belongings at all times, this area is most safely explored in the daytime and is a must see for everyone who visits.
