I love this place. I come here for Sunday lunch every time I'm in Barcelona for the weekend. It's a proper old Barcelona staple, and it's full of tourists and locals alike. Traditional old decor and a very varied menu (there's a Sunday lunch special menu or you can eat a la carte). The service is exceptional - no nonsense,... More

This restaurant has been in the same location since 1786! The food is known to be outstanding....hearty Catlan cuisine. It opens for dinner at 9pm, and often has a line up outside waiting. An excellent choice for a dinner in Barcelona!

The oldest restaurant in Barcelona did not disappoint. Old world, traditional style setting, excellent Catalan dishes and great service. The Lichón, calamari and garlic gambas are a must. We enjoyed it so much, we returned for another meal! We did not make reservations either time, just walked in and we were seated within a few minutes. But I would imagine... More

This is the oldest restaurant in Barcelona, one visit and you can see why it has survived so long. Hear meme, the lamb ribs were staggeringly good. Would thoroughly thoroughly recommend...

We loved Botin in Madrid & thought this one would be similar. We're wrong ~ food was mediocre. Service was amateur. It's just not worth trying out. Would not recommend.

Restaurant trades on its 230 year age. We booked for 9pm (earliest possible in evening). It has little of the atmosphere we expected and the service was awful. The meat courses were lacking meat.

There are set times to eat in this restaurant and if you arrive a little earlier than the time allotted you are turfed out and told to wait outside - even in the rain!! The food is nothing special - I had lamb chops and they were extremely dry - would advise not to visit this restaurant - there are... More

A historic 18th c. building with traditional tapas and main meals. We shared some good chilli prawns, then had veal and wild mushrooms at 8.50€ and similarly priced lamb chops with chips followed by amazing walnut cake with coconut ice cream and a yummy chocolate sauce with vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce. Lovely wine at 21€. Only open 9... More

This was our first day in Spain and our local, traditional meal. We arrived about 3pm & were seated quickly, service was excellent, food was divine & atmosphere was perfect. Do not leave Barcelona without dining here 😊

Authentic place that does one dinner sitting at 9pm. People queue outside until it opens (they take bookings) at 9pm. We visited on a Friday night and it was very popular. I have the Sea Bream and it was lovely.

Thank Anne G
