Absolutely amazing food - each course an experience, while not neglecting the taste buds. Wonderful use of local, slow food ingredients. Just an amazing treat. Service is lovely, not stuffy at all. Try the D'Argent Cava - bubbles don't count in the end.

I enjoyed a solo lunch at Cinc Sentits in early September. I was nervous to dine alone, but no worries, the service was excellent and they really made me feel very welcome. My lunch cost 200 euros, I had the Spanish wine pairing and left a great tip. I loved it. Every course was a surprise and they did a... More

Very pretentious, nice decor, food in the copy El Bulli mode, 8 courses 79 euros, the highlight for me brussel sprouts or should I say 6 leaves. Certainly not my style, I can understand it makes a change from the Barcelona big plates big amounts of food on the plate, but I will stick with the real food option.

This is a great dinning place both for excellent food quality and wine pairing. It was even more special for us because we had our valentine celebration there. The selection by the chief is excellent, we love every dish from starter to dessert, it is an experience hard to forget.

The service was really bad and too expensive for a set menu. Horrible service since making the reservation. I was hoping to impress my date, but on the contrary we had a really bad experience.

Holding One star in the Michelin Guide and among the top notch on the San Pellegrino list, Cinc Sentits gives you the expectation of getting blown away. The wine pairing was outstanding and the service was good, but some of the dishes were gastronomically too plane and lack of excitement for this kind of establishment.

One of the most memorable meals my wife and I have ever had. Went for the tasting and wine pairing. Was exquisite experience. Small and intimate with explanation of each course and wine.

I first read about Cinc Sentits in the UK publication "The Guardian," who listed the top 10 restaurants featuring "new" Calalonian cooking. This place certainly hit the mark. We pre-ordered the Sensacions menu by email, which was very easy. The chef was raised in Canada, so English isn't an issue. Reservations are a must as the restaurant only has about... More

Some of the courses really sang and some of the pairings were spot on but to spend this much they should all stand up and shout. The chef takes advantage of his customers by forcing the prixe fix menus on them especially with the warning that unless you pick the more expensive one you will have lapses...well we picked all... As we were in Barcelona for a celebration we thought the ideal way to do this was to go all out and have a fantastic meal & we had much more than this. It is a small and intimate restaurant, stylishly furnished. We chose to go for the premium taster menu and my husband also selected the premium wine pairing... More

Description
Awarded a Michelin star since 2008, and rated #1 for food in Barcelona by Zagat, Cinc Sentits has created a buzz in Barcelona. Prodigal chef Jordi Artal's playful experiments with Catalan tastes, aromas, textures, layers, and sensations is cutting edge stuff. He recommends the seasonal tasting menu, letting each course bring a new and exciting sensation to your palate. There is a 6-course and a shorter 4-course version of the menu, both available with an optional wine pairing. All this, plus professional yet friendly multilingual service in a modern setting.

Staying in Eixample

Neighbourhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
