Fresh sushi and authentic attentive experience although I was not blown away. Worth trying but I have had better experiences for less money...but then this is central Barcelona so expect to pay!

As it should be for a Japanese restaurant, at Shunka they put a lot of care into the product. Oysters are great both, in caliber and flavour. The Chūtoro tuna is simply amazing. More into local products the Palamos prawns are top, as well as the salmonetes. The wine menu contains some good references. We ate all along with a... More

Meant to book a table for one at Koy Shunka - the 2nd branch ranks oddly higher at #2 on TripAdvisor - but they are closed on Sundays. I now know why Shunka is ranked almost #200 - limited and uninspiring offerings on the menu if you are not after sushi specifically. Tad pricey too.

I've been to this restaurant celebrating my girlfriend birthday. We have asked for a seat in front of the sushi chef so we could check everything... We've ordered the degustation menu where no items were mentioned. The chefs were completely unempathic, doing their stuff but nothing like as it is in Japan. After some minutes, the things start arriving. The... More

We just completed a meal and upon leaving the restaurant made another reservation for several nights later. When we arrived for our reservation we were told they could not find it. Three staff members at the front desk proceeded to argue with us for 10 minutes and refused to seat us. We walked out, very angry and hungry. We have... More

Still one ofthe best shushi places in town, but the overall experience wasnt excellent. the place had a subtile bad smell that disturbed me a lot. the service wasnt extraordinary but correct. the rice is excelent and the raw materials are still very good but there was a lack of love, you could taste the food but not the feelings... My son and I had a tasty lunch at this restaurant. We had two sushi dishes, one of them was the chef's special (S. Moriawase&Tokusen sushi). Both of them were very good. I also had Sake to drink. The food was delicious, the service very good. We had a good time over there. Recommended.

Thank rami d
