In our 5 day stay we visited this restaurant twice as it was so good. The second night was for our early valentine meal. Meals over both nights were superb and the service exceptional. This place has a fantastic ambience and you feel like you're eating in a place with some history. First night I had steak. It was cooked... More

Excellent service and food. Doesn´t look so fancy but sitting outside there in the evening, eating and drinking is so nice. The staff is so serviceminded and kind.

Food was ok, but we got completely ripped off. The waiter asked if we would like bread before our meal and we said yes, not knowing he would try to charge each of the three of us 3€ for bread that wasn't even very good. After much persistence and confrontation he took it off the bill. Would not recommend this... More

A last minute decision out of a wealth of choices, picked mostly due to proximity. We were greeted with complimentary glasses of Cava and the excellent service continued throughout our meal. The starters were delicious and our steaks were perfectly cooked and generous. Lovely surroundings, food and ambience, I look forward to returning and trying some of the seafood dishes.

This restaurant was fantastic. The service was unparalleled. Our waiter was so unbelievably attentive, to the extent that he noticed a slight wobble to our table and bent down and fixed it. Everyone was so very welcoming and answered our questions without hesitation to the best of their ability. The food was absolutely delicious. We had gazpacho and the mozzarella... More

The Restaurante Sedna is located since 2005 in the ground floor of a building with a century XIII structure catalogued by UNESCO as Gotic Catalan art heritage, in front of Port Vell (Old Port) in the oldest part of the Barcelona sea façade and sorrounded of monuments and historical buildings as the Colon's Monument (1888), th Church of La Merced (XII centure), the Duke of Medinaceli Place (1851), the Militar Government (1847), the Post Office Building (1927), the Via Layetana Street, the Palau Place among others. A tradition point out that where is the Restaurante Sedna today, is where Don Miguel de Cervantes author of the novel Don Quijote de la Mancha went to write when he lived in Paseo Colon, 2 during his stage in Barcelona. All the dishes on the menu are prepared with fresh products typical of the season. Both fish, meat, vegetables and vegetables are acquired every day and are treated with respect, transparency and simplicity. The secret of the success of the kitchen of the restaurant Sedna is a careful treatment of products and ingredients as well as their combinations and firing processes.
