Nice street between Gracia and rambla catalunya. Ended up her because my friend went here before. Fancy place and location, food choice is good with some chef specials, some of the dishes we had where good other where soso, the spicey tuna was nice and so is the curry chicken. I found it here too expensive for the quality, people... More

Excellent authentic Japanese food. Fresh ingredients. Suitable for lunch and dinner. I can recommend for all sushi lovers. Always happy to go to eat when visiting the city.

El Japones is a modern restaurant near Passeig de Gracia. It is a must if you would like to try classic japanesse dishes with an innovative touch. Recomendations: steak tartar, gyozas, fried rice. Although it is a little bit expensive is worth going once in a while.

El Japones might not be the n1 japanese restaurant in Barcelona but for sure a top 5 with a great balance of quality/price, very modern

We went to El Japones because a friend recommended. Generally, it was an okay meal, but not the kind of meal you would pay 70 euros for. Varied Sushi and Sashimi plate that didn't impress, two different kind of yakisoba that tasted the same because of the overdose of strong soy sauce, and an acceptable ration of boiled green beans... If u are looking for a sublime culinary experience then this is the one - the best sushi and the green tea noodles are superb. Save space for dessert though as the White chocolate mousse and chocolate maki rolls are delicious

First time in the new location. Food with the same great taste. Decoration refined and modern. Loved the wine as well. Definitely will come back!

I went to el japonés with my boyfriend, we wanted to celebrate my birthday by enjoying a great lunch. This restaurant wasn't the right choice. Even though it's quite pricy the quality of the food is really poor. Some of the dishes had a nice presentation but turned out to be a poor culinary experience. Guys the sushi was just... More

I had such a great time in this restaurant. It was one of my favourite places when I used to do an internship in Barcelona 8 years ago. It is now on the other side of the street but the quality is still amazing. The manager was so welcoming, talking to me about a recipe I loved (unique Japanese pizza)... More

Open kitchen. Long, shared wooden tables. Innovation: ceviches, sushi and natural charcoal Japanese barbecue bar to prepare kusiyaki.

Dynamic and high quality oriental food, at reasonable prices.

Varied menu, where the kushiyaki (skewer grilled), the extremely light sushi and sashimi triumph

Neighbourhood Profile
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
