We went for lunch. My wife's chicken salad was good she said. My lasagne was dry and the pasta element conspicuous by its plentitude. The carrot cake was on the dry side. Service and prices were fine. Will not hurry back.
The staff were friendly enough but one cake wasn’t inedible and the other was tasteless. Not a pleasant experience and frustrating that we went on the recommendation in a guidebook and wasted our time and money with so many other great places to try.
This restaurant has a great lunch special. For 12.80 euro, you get two courses, dessert, bread and a drink (beer, wine, water or soda). I had the chicken salad and quiche Lorraine. Would definitely come back.

With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighbourhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local
musicians lasting late into the night. Fashionistas will be drawn to Portal de L’Angel, which is lined with well-known brand names and smaller boutique stands.
