I used to go quite often to the old Quiet Man (now Shenanigans). It was lively and full of interest. Now it's in decay, its best days are far away...The waiter was very nice, though.

This Irish bar is the real deal. I usually avoid "Irish Bars" like the plague when I'm not in Ireland. But this one was just around the corner from my accommodation so I stuck my head in for a late drink on my way back....More

Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this
gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an
excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic
spots in the entire city. A sense of humble
authenticity protrudes from the many independent
record stores, second hand shops, and student bars
that seem to light up the streets day and night. The
rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day

Shenanigans, formerly known as The Quiet Man, was the first Irish pub to open in Barcelona designed and built in Ireland, then assembled on site almost twenty years ago, with a true Irish feel, friendly atmosphere and the warmth of a classic pub. A true Irish pub located just off La Rambla, with something to offer to everyone. You can enjoy a Guinness whilst sitting with friends in one of the cozy snugs, have a good chat at the bar with our bartenders and fellow customers, or watch the live sport on one of the 4 screens with some good pub food. The design of the pub is old Irish Style with particular attention given to the wooden finish that makes it unique, and original decorations that bring you straight to Ireland in the centre of Barcelona. A family-owned Irish pub where you can have great craic and feel like you're back in Ireland!
