This is a lovely tucked away restaurant bar in the Gothic Quarter. Highly recommended artisan tapas (not cheap and nasty tourist tapas).

We were told about this excellent bar by our running trip director. We had some excellent tapas and a beer on our first night in Barcelona . Tucked away down an unremarkable street near the cathedral it is a little gem. The gin and tonics the following night were huge and very good The range of genuine cooked to order... More

Wandered in about 9 pm on King's Day. The place was buzzing but not quite full. We were staying close by so the street was not that difficult to find - just look for the out of place Guinness sign. The service was attentive and while I am trying to use my Spanish my husband appreciated the English tapas menus.... More

Place was crowded and noisy due to New Year celebrations. Waiter was really busy, but tapas' came in relatively short time. Portions were surprisingly large costing only around 5€ each. We tried lamb shoulder, goat cheese salad and cheese platter. All of those were good. Positive experience over all!

Duck stake at La luna was so tasty that I truly enjoyed it and it was worth the price. Hoping to come here again.

A friend advised us to go there and we loved it so much that we went there more than three times on our stay in Barcelona. And since that I returned to Barcelona two times and each time we went to La Luna. The salad with goat Cheese is so tasty! Croquettes there are the BEST. I love it and... More

After reading about this place from those who stayed at BCN Gotic, I felt it would be the perfect place to end our visit to this amazing city on a high note. La Luna certainly did not disappoint. We were quite apprehensive when we turned up after 9pm without reservation to find the place packed. Waited for a few minutes... More

Great find in the narrow streets ...The venue is very cosy and chilled , The front of house are all friendly and helpful and the food is excellent a varied menu to cater for all. Very reasonably priced and value for money. It does get busy so be prepared to wait for a table but wow well worth it .... More

We hunted this place down after look on line, it opens at 6pm and it was worth the time trying to find it! The food was amazing and worth every penny. We stayed for 3 1/2 hours and there was only 2 of us. You are not rushed or pestered by the staff, you can take your time and enjoy... More

Very nice restaurant and bar... excellent tapas are served. Would recommend to go if you like eating tapas in a friendly atmosphere - if you like cocktails even better.

Staying in El Born / La Ribera

Neighbourhood Profile
El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few places that live and breathe such exciting energy regardless of the time of day. This neighbourhood seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants ranging from fancy Michelin-star establishments to trendy fusion restaurants. Here you'll find historical and cultural attractions such as the popular Picasso Museum and the Gothic cathedral La Santa Maria del Mar, where you just might be able to catch a traditional Catalan wedding.
