Some fo the modern bars and restaurants that are close to the Rambla are just tourist traps. El Lobo, despite its vicinity to the Rambla (around 100 m) is a surprisingly good -modern- tapas restaurant. There are others more authentic and more delicious food, but...More

On a busy Saturday afternoon we had a lovely meal here. The service was brisk and efficient but friendly and the food was great. We had a mix of tapas and they were all lovely - meatballs, vegetables, chicken wings and hummus. Nice wine too....More

We went here with pretty high hopes after a recommendation and came away feeling disappointed. The food was average at best, too salty, and the portions were very small and expensive! The wine was sour, and the service was poor as well! Such a shame...More

We tried eating here with my daughter with a food allergy. My daughter is fluent in Spanish, and is accustomed to explaining her allergy. Not only were the staff unhelpful, they were downright rude to us. We will not be going back here again.

I was here with a group of friends for a birthday. The location is central and decorated nicely, and you have a lot of space for a big group of people. Unfortunately, the food was not good at all: everything we ordered was very oily...More

A modern tapas bar/restaurant in a main location (close to Ramblas). Food and drinks were mediocre at best and pricey.

This place was recommended by the front desk at our hotel. Had both a lunch and dinner there. Food was very good. Dinner was a little pricey but a lunch of tapas was reasonable.

The place is cosy, located near la Rambla. We ordered one portion per person (2) and a ham and cheese sandwich to share (we were very hungry).

Went back for a second helping of their huevos estrallados -- eggs over fries with Spanish ham. Unreal! Good service and a nice patio as well.

El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this
gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an
excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic
spots in the entire city. A sense of humble
authenticity protrudes from the many independent
record stores, second hand shops, and student bars
that seem to light up the streets day and night. The
rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day

Not sure, depends on the size of the group, they have both inside & outside seating areas. Anyway, enjoy.
