One of the best 3 tapas bars in barcelona, totally local on food and drinks. Try their home made wine. The prices are very reasonable. A little bit small place.

This cosy little place is so amazing and friendly Experience the waiters write your order at a paper and remember in a huge amount of people what you ordered during the last hour (wonder how they describe you 🤔😳😂) You have to go there when you are in Barcelona 👍🏼😉 hard to find but look for the que outside 👍🏼😎

In the years since my last time in Barcelona, I've dreamt of this place. Standing room only, be ready to embrace a small crowd at any time of the day. Get a bottle of cava and a couple of sandwiches for less than 15 Euros on your way to/from the Barceloneta beach! Bottles to go for 3 Euros. Love this... More

Wow!!! That is all I have to say. This place is Amazing!! Really cheap cava and tapas. Small but cosy feel. Had the best night in this Spanish bar. You have to visit if you're in Barcelona.

Was recommended this place by a family member and loved it!! Its packed but quirky and fab!! Tiny manic bar where everybody is drinking cava and eating tapas!! Food is great and reasonably priced. Not advised with young children.

If you want tapas, delicious sparkling rose and an authentic Spanish place, definitely visit! Food and drinks are amazing and at very fair prices. The place is often very crowded and there is not seating available but once you are open to it, the movement in the place is actually fun. Also, make sure to understand how the service works... Very cheap, very good food and beverage. A little crowded and you often need to eat without sitting, but it worths for the amazing sandwiches you can eat.

We came to Can Paixano around 5 in the afternoon. The streets were empty giving no sign of this place being filled to the ceiling. Great clean tastes of hams, xistorra and cava in this very charming restaurant. Lots of hygge. Only place I have ever seen that has had needed a door man at that time of day. The... More

Was recommend this place by a friend because of the cheap tapas and cava. We were not disappointed! A bottle of cava and 5/6 dishes of tapas for around €25. Standing room only though, and looks as though it's always busy but we loved it

Fabulous authentically Spanish Tapas and Cava.. just ask the guy what he recommends and you're guaranteed outstanding food. We bought a bottle of cava and has bucket loads of food and the whole night cost us €30!! Crammed to the rafters but the atmosphere is fantastic. Well worth 5 stars!!

Neighbourhood Profile
Originally a fisherman’s quarter, this quaint area can’t escape its small village feel: laundry hanging over the narrow streets, old ladies clamoring at each other from their balconies and elder gentlemen playing games on short wooden benches gossiping the day away, Barceloneta could double as a film set. Artists line the boardwalk displaying their magnificently detailed sand structures making this the most visited beach in the city (the shirtless men working out might help too). You’ll know by the delicious aroma that you're in the right place to try some of the best and most authentic seafood including paella, Spain’s national dish.
