Funny enough I went here on my first week in barcelona and it was by far the best tapas I've ever had. Magnificent. Book before hand as they're quite busy.

I came here based upon the reviews and I'm glad I did! It was very crowded with about a 45min wait time. As my bf and I weren't too hungry we decided to stick it out, luckily the other people waiting left and they move down the list rather quickly! If they call your name twice you are crossed off... The waiter was very kind... More

This has been one of my favorite tapas restaurant in Barcelona for the past few years and I make a visit annually when I am in Barcelona. Having tried so many tapas restaurants, I find that the food here is consistently a notch above and more refined than a lot of other tapas restaurants. The wines are affordable and the... More

We arrived early, 8:30, on New Year's Eve and were able to get a spot at the bar. Hearing us speak English, the waiter handed us English menus. This help steer us toward baked brie on toast and baked scallop and spicy shrimp. Still, we excepted the waiter's recommendations on several items, such as a local sauce on top of... More

We were in november this year in Barcelona and as we stayed in Eixample, we went to Paco Meralgo Restaurant. We loved the atmosphere full of life and the good food: Spicy patatas bravas and delicious salmon tapas.

I recently visited this local tapas restaurant on a weekend trip to Barcelona. I went here after reading many of the trip advisor reviews and was not disappointed. This place gets very busy at weekends all year round and I would say is a favourite of the locals who live in this part of the city. We did not book... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighbourhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
