I was fancying some hummus and I was not disappointed! The portion was good and the presentation very nice. Somewhat foolishly I ordered my main course at the same time and wished I hadn't as it turned out to be too much food. I wished I'd either not ordered a main course or perhaps just had another small starter. Anyway... More

The owner of this restaurant is Syrian, from Aleppo, so when you order food here, you're getting the most authentic version possible. The mezze at Xix Kebab is fantastic: delicious olives, hummus with just enough lemon to give it a nice tang. My favorite starter has to be the babaganoush. An extremely tasty dish which I never had before was... More

Really authentic middle eastern cuisine, baba ganoush was best we have ever tasted and all dishes delicately spiced. Staff are really engaging even to non Spanish speakers and take time to explain dishes. Good atmosphere, highly recommended.

Unless you are intrepid enough to fly to Beirut or Damascus you will not find more authentic flavors. Situated near the Hospital Clinic Metro, I arrived shortly after opening around 1300. The ambiance is dark and inviting, with antique photos of Syria from the days of T.E. Lawrence festooning the walls. I ordered a glass of white wine and ate... More

A warm and relaxed ambience to this cosy, eastern style restaurant was a good start and it just got better as we sampled dish after dish of beautifully prepared food which tasted both delicious and different with a great use of spices for flavouring and decoration. The service was friendly and patient considering my lack of Spanish. Can't fault it,... More

We came upon this restaurant whilst walking near our hotel. The food is delicious, both our courses were full of flavour! Even the tea which I think was Arabian was delicious! The service was very good. Will definitely be returning to this restaurant. The restaurant had a Turkish feel to it. I can't say anything negative about this restaurant. It... More

Recently went here for my office christmas dinner. I wasnt sure what to expect but it was fantastic. The food was amazing, so tasty with lots of different flavours! Something different to Spanish tapas for a change :) Nice staff and lovely decor, I would definitely recommend!

Staying in Eixample

Neighbourhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
