Popped in here one evening whilst wandering around Barcelona. So glad we did. We ended up having a most enjoyable meal and reveling in the atmosphere. A real locals place serving top quality tapas and the jug of wine, complete with little dishes to drink it with was the icing on the cake. Our waiter was a star with his... More

A Gudina may be is one of the three best places in Barcelona to eat octopus (delicious) and other galizian specialites such as lacon, chorizo, navajas, etc. Very close to Plaza España you can enjoy drinking and eating for a very reasonable price.

Over the road from Tickets and around the corner from Bodega 1900, this tapas restaurant provides a simpler more traditional offering. I have now been a couple of times and both times enjoyed especially the Galician octopus which was tender and tasty. Tomato bread was delicious and we enjoyed the Pedron peppers, garlic shrimp and the roasted red peppers. Although... More

We booked the place without a clue on its quality or service. And it was terrific!! What a delicious combination of fresh, great dishes. Jamón, cigalas, pulpo, and chuletón dices. Some turbid white wine and house cava to make it round. Excellent!!

We had peppers, shrimps in garlic sauce and octopus at that restaurant. Shrimps were delicious. Peppers and octopus were tasty too.

We had the razor clams and the salmagundi eggs with some drinks. Both were cooked with perfection with the right amount of olive oil. Great quality. Wish I stayed here for dinner. Service was friendly, informative and fast.

Eaten at this Galician restaurant twice this week with equal quality both times. Their Galician Octopus (Pulpo) is extremely tender and soft that even beats the small hidden Pulperias in La Coruña. Very tasty ham for a very reasonable price along with great razor clams. A must go if you want the best octopus around town. Great staff too!

It doesn't look much, but the seafood dishes are great! Meat dishes were not as impressive, which makes sense as this is a Galician restaurant which specializes in seafood. Fresh cod fish with tomatoes salad is amazing...if you like raw fish

Staying in El Raval

Neighbourhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
