Just finished the Camino and felt like a celebration meal. This is a Rick Steves recommendation which rarely disappoints. Jamon Iberico, for the first time in a while and pulpo with langoustines were excellent. After a suitable interval I added a tarta santiago (what else) and a coffee. Good wine selection by the glass. There is a €10 menu excluding... More

You'll certainly find cheaper around, but it was pretty good. Food was nice, and service was pretty good. Bar down stairs was good and the free tapas we got with our drinks was very nice. Open on a Sunday & Monday which is a rarity in SDC from what I could tell

Pulpo was great, "couland de chocolate con helado de plátano" was unbelievably good - a "must try" for desert. Nice atmosphere, great service, extensive wine list with lots of detail. Highly recommended.

I went here for lunch on the recommendation of my tour guide, only to find out that they don't start serving lunch until 2. Well, this is Spain, and this is more of a local restaurant than a tourist restaurant, so that was OK. They did have a menu for smaller, lighter items, and I chose the torta del casar... More

I went here with friends from the area. Between the four of us, we had red wine, a sliced meat tray and a cheese tray with lots of bread, especially garlic break. It tasted wonderful! Very authentic feel and local. Check it out!

Strong opening I know, but honestly, I ended up having a full blown argument which I have never done in my life. The attitude from the start was disgusting and then they charged us for a €25 bottle of wine which wasn't even on the menu so they couldn't show it. The worst behaviour in a restaurant I have ever... This restaurant was recommended by staff at the Costa Vella Hotel. It was only 150mtr away. There are lots and lots of places to eat in Santiago many packed with tourists. This place being further out was frequented by mostly spanish speakers. However there is a menu written in English. I recommend you sit upstairs as the downstairs is more... More

Local Restaurant away from the centre of the old town proved as good as your reviews had promised. Pleased that I booked as it was packed with locals and tourists. The quality and value was fantastic. I am so pleased to have followed the advice of others and found this gem !!

Decided on the menu of the day....and although the quality was acceptable, the size of dishes were not up to Galician standard.
