Terrible food. Overcooked and Rude Service

We arrived to a Luke warm welcome and were shown to a table. We ordered drinks which came quickly. We ordered a meat sharing platter to start. This was accompanied with stale bread. The meat was tasteless and dry. We both had the Gauchos burger....When they arrived they we black on both sides and so overdone that they took a lot of chewing. I gave up after a quarter, my partner had managed just over half but then gave up. The chips were nothing to write home about. So the only nice thing was some spinach and mushrooms. The waiter asked why we didn’t eat and we said how bad it was. The waiter was combative and he said this is medium and there is no juice in dry aged beef. We owned a restaurant ourselves previously so we said said this is not true it was bad cooking. My burger was refunded but they refused to refund my partners as he had eaten just over 50%. We said give us our bill and paid £54 for a terrible time. Will never be back and I advise others to avoid.More

Top quality steakhouse in Gibraltar

An excellent steak restaurant on a par with Hawksmoor in the UK . The food is top quality and the atmosphere is very relaxing. Really enjoyed the visit.

superb

went here for our wedding anniversary on an overnight to Gibraltar and what a superb experience. We had steak on the stone which was top quality. The staff were fantastic in particular a Hungarian lady who served us. There was background music on the terrace...where we sat which made it even better. Thanks to allMore

Not to be missed fantastic place

Excellent Gib Steakhouse

Had an excellent meal at Gauchos on our recent trip to Gib In Sep 23, attentive service, excellent food, nice location. Particularly good choice of steaks on the menu capturing the best of several parts of the world.

Excellent steak house in all respects

Warm welcome, nice premises both garden and inside. We have been wanting to try another Gaucho since Manchester and this didn’t disappoint. Excellent fillet steaks with string fries and mushrooms. Also amazing hot stone to either warm or cook further strips of fillet. Also an...excellent Rioja to drink with it.More

Lovely evening!

Anniversary meal-staff were welcoming and very accommodating to slight adjustments due to physical issues. Menu choice good, evening outside table, enjoyable live music accompaniment. Exceptional food and wine

Delicious Argentine fillet steak and tender Moroccan chicken with Argentine wines by the glass plus many others on offer - all beautifully served with as much interaction as required.

Great staff and excellent food

Visited last night 10 July was asked if we had made a reservation ( did not) where showed to table inside with no fuss ordered two fillets medium rare with trimmings cooked to perfection the bill around £100 with wine good value for good food....If I had a complaint on the bill was £2 for bread roll and olives although nice this cost should be incorporated in the bill not an extra slipped on the bill.More

Amazing Chateaubriand

Highly recommend

Wonderful restaurant with very comfortable outdoor and indoor seating. There were 4 of us and we had the Chateau Briand which was delicious and cooked to perfection. The side dishes and starters were just as delicious Staff were attentive and friendly and the ambiance was...lovelyMore

Couples meal

We had a fabulous meal here - steaks wonderful and the desserts were amazing. Nice vaulted (cool) site and the staff were very knowledgable about the ingredients in the meals - as one member had allergies. Great night out
