Great food, great service and an amazing wine list. The steak is one of the best I have had anywhere this year and the salmorejo is out of this world. Be sure to book to book, this place is popular - for good reason!

My friend and I felt very 'madrileño' (Madrid-ish) when we had dinner at Taberna Laredo. It was one of the two dinners where we made a reservation before leaving for Spain, in this case because other TA reviews said it was very popular. Indeed, the restaurant filled up quickly and we were glad to have reserved a table. We enjoyed... More

A good friend of mine recommended me this place and in a short trip to Madrid I didn't miss the opportunity to have dinner there. Food was awesome, the atmosphere great (although I recommend to book first), the staff s friendly and I found very good value.

The restaurant was packed on a Wednesday evening but the waiter did everything she could to accomodate us in the Bar. The food was excellent and the wine list was very varied. We got this recommendation after visiting the Comando G winery at Sierra de Gredos. When I returned to Puerto Rico to dine at my favorite restaurant (Compostela), the... More

The one problem with going to this restaurant for my first lunch in Madrid is that I became spoiled and assumed this was what all food in Spain tasted like. First of all, the atmosphere is very well done; simple and chic with light wood and dark walls. There is a very large selection of wines, many are wines from... More

Our reservation was at 9:30. The dining room is upstairs so you walk through the bar first, which was quite noisy and had great energy. There were only a few tables occupied when we got upstairs and that worried us, but by 10, every table was filled. So if that matters to you, arrive later. We shared the tuna tartare... More

Taken there by friends and had lunch today. Very good "old cow" meat… the burger was special. Nice place.

Top rating for the restaurant: the restaurant staff found us a table on a very busy Friday night, despite a misplaced reservation of our hotel. The food is excellent: typical, top quality, very well prepared. In a group of five, we had a chance to taste a number of tapas: everything, from anchovies, to artichokes, to jamon, salads was distinctive... More

I highly recommend Taberna Laredo. It's an excellent & very authentic tapas place in Madrid. Local madrilenos are fond of this place which never disappointed me in the many years I have been going there. One should particularly try the meat (hamburgesa) and the various tapas (fish, veggies, etc), obviously accompanying this excellent food with vino tinto (red wine). Feel... More

A neighborhood and out of the way spot close to Barrio Salamaca that offers a choice between tapas downstairs and full meals upstairs. Not trendy, but good food, good service and reasonable prices. Someplace you could go once a week and feel at home.
