Food was lovely huge portion of nachos, being Irish I'd at least expect staff to be nice and welcoming they didn't even make eye contact with most customers Never mind to be friendly, only went to watch the match otherwise waste Of a visit

Dear Brendan, I am very surprised to hear that you felt the whole team were not "nice and welcoming". We would all appreciate it, if you could explain when you were in so as we can discuss it. Thank you and hope to hear from you. Matt More

We stopped by a couple of times to this pub. Great fun and staff were brilliant. On one of the days we called in, there was Blues Extravaganza happening which was really good fun. The food is pretty good too and cheap as well.

We went to the James Joyce pub to watch the David Haye & Tony Bellew fight. The pub was busy but comfortable & luckily managed to get two seats at the bar. The atmosphere for the fight was excellent. The bar staff were fantastic, racing back and forth serving but still smiling and laughing. The Guiness was top draw and... More

Staying in Barrio de Salamanca

Neighbourhood Profile
Barrio de Salamanca
Broad, tree-lined avenues with pretty streetlights frame the neighbourhood of Barrio Salamanca. With beautiful condominium buildings that make up most blocks in this area, this part of town is refined and quiet. It is also host to a few of the city's large shopping avenues, including Calle Serrano and Calle Jose Ortega y Gasset. A walk down these streets will reveal upscale chains, small boutiques, and plenty of opportunities for shopping or checking out the stylish displays. The locals here are polished and fashionable, the atmosphere is leisurely, and the lush Retiro Park on the southern border is yet another opportunity to enjoy the outdoors. A stroll through Barrio Salamanca is all about admiring the beautiful architecture, window-shopping, and people-watching in this upper-crust corner of Madrid.
