Had a good late night lunch. Excellent grilled meat. Typically Spanish : Simple but good ingredients. Service was great as well. Good adress off the grid of trend-seakers

This restaurant was recommended by our hotel and I'm glad they did! The food was so good we went there for 3 consecutive nights and always had something delicious to eat with a great bottle of wine. This family restaurant has been here since 1942 and feels like your mother is in he kitchen. The service was also great and... More

We enjoyed a very nice meal on Saturday night, and considered it good value for money with respect to the meal quality and excellent service. Around £75, 2 course for 2 people with a very good bottle of wine. The starters are big enough for 2 so be careful about over ordering

Surprisingly delicious. Was craving a simple meal. Rainy night and few restaurants open. Dodged in and enjoyed nice wine and yummy pork and a hamburger. Left happy and it was quite inexpensive.

I highly recommend this restaurant, for their meals, services, and surrounding. I would like to address a special thank to the waiter Rodrigo, as one of the best professional I met.

Our hotel recommended the Casa Perico and we were very impressed. We had the degustation menu at 36e all in and thought it to be great value including wine, coffee and a digestif. Not fine dining but a series of small plates of beautifully cooked Spanish food. If you don't like battered food go somewhere else but we loved it.... More

During our Stroll in Madrid we collided with Casa Perico. The facade is a bit strange because the walls are covered with copies of Spanish newspapers praising the restaurant. That so distasteful decoration tempted us to continue walking. Good, we did not. The place has a warm atmosphere, is beautifully decorated and the staff is extremely friendly. Our fried fish... Neighbourhood Profile
Hip bars and galleries, independent theaters and music venues, young people with tattoos and funky hair, narrow winding streets — this is Malasaña. Near the center, Plaza Dos de Mayo is a gathering of friends outside bars, dog owners, artists under craft tents, and creative types with notebooks and sketchpads on the plaza’s benches. It may not be as neat and tidy as many other parts of the city, but this only adds to the Malasaña edge. Shops and bars here range from hippie-crunchy to upscale trendy, and on weekends, the streets are bustling around the clock as the nightlife progresses from dinner to bar to disco to late-night food. On the west side of the neighbourhood is the subdistrict called Conde Duque, named after a large pink fort in its center that has been converted into a cultural center for exhibitions and performances. Prettier yet just as edgy, this intimate corner of Malasaña is home to a young international community.
