We ate here before we started our hop on hop off tour of Madrid. Overall, the food is ok and reasonably priced.

I have had visited this restaurant twice, both for lunch. The good things about this restaurant are: - the location, which is centrally located; - long opening hours - always have seats available (both the ground level and the upper level) - food are in large portion The bad things about this restaurant are: - the Paella is very salty... Sorry to report but this is simply a straight forward tourist trap. To begin with, we were hustled in my a street huckster, and I guess we should have known better, but being hungry we skipped our better judgement and entered for a quick lunch. Although it was not busy and the "professional" waiter immediately took our orders, we waited... More

Really nice atmosphere, fast service and friendly prices. The food was very nice, in good portions and the wine list was nice. I recommend the restaurant

So if you don't know who Lucrezia Borgia is, small history lesson: she used to poison people. Heed the lower-rating reviews. The Australian who did not leave the restaurant before finishing his review was not kidding. By default, Spanish service tends to be a bit different than in other parts of the world, their attitudes are a bit harsher towards... More

Avoid this restaurant!! All the bad reviews on this restaurant are true!! This restaurant is located across the street from the Prado Museum. I was tired after visiting Prado so I stopped by this place for a quick bite. What a mistake! I wanted the menu del dia which was posted outside the restaurant. The waiter first tried to point... I visited with my partner and small child for a set menu lunch, those familiar with these deals in Spain will know they are great value. Do not be put off by the exterior of the restaurant which looks like a fast food cafe, upstairs is a restaurant with friendly and efficient staff. The food was pleasant and great value... More

We had a quick coffee after our visit. The building is pretty and the cafe on them ground floor served snacks and food as well as drinks.

We ordered a pizza for twelve euros and what we got was a frozen pizza you can buy for 50 cents in the lidl...at the neighbor table people were served chips still swimming in litres of fat! On the whole a colossal cheek!!

A really interesting place with great range of food . The place is good for young children and the food extremely well prepared. The pizza, spanish style chicken roast, soups and spanish cuisine recommended was well made. The cafe has great sea food.

Staying in Paseo del Prado

Neighbourhood Profile
Paseo del Prado
The area around the elegant Paseo del Prado boulevard is much-visited by both locals and tourists. The world-famous Prado, the Reina Sofia, and the Thyssen-Bornemisza museums form a triangle of art and culture that spans this grand and beautiful avenue. On weekdays, the Prado Museum opens its doors for free after-work hours, drawing a diverse and excited queue of art lovers that wraps around the block. Palacio de Cibeles and Círculo de Bellas Artes cultural centers are other artsy hangouts to check out, with rooftop bars that provide impressive views of the city. While the Paseo del Prado and its roundabouts form a busy throughway in Madrid, a broad green pedestrian park in the middle is a calm and gorgeous place for a relaxing stroll. Just east of the museums, the Retiro Park is always a confluence of activity as families and friends of all ages take to the pretty paths and lawns to stretch their legs or to have a picnic.
