The place is cute and the atmosphere is great. I would not recommend it for dinner though. We were not happy with our dishes. From 3 dishes only one was tasty (pork). We returned the prawns as they didn't taste good. Very fair from the place they deducted the price of the returned dish from the bill and service overall... More

Aye there last night with my buddy, lovely surroundings with great attentive service and truly amazing chicken with chilli sauce and crocetts. It was also great value with two of us fed and very well watered for only about 50 Euros Rob

This is a great small Reataurant. Full of colours and with a quite exciting menu. The staff is extremely friendly and eager to help a large group or family. The food is fantastic. Please try the burger and the artisan beers!

It is a small restaurant with excellent Spanish food and very friendly service located in a nice area of Malasana. The wines are also very nice and we enjoyed a perfect evening there.

We notice that no one has reviewed this gem since September 2015 and wonder if that is because it is frequented by locals who are in the know. That's a shame because anyone who is staying in the area should definitely visit this neighbourhood restaurant and bar. It's an intimate setting with a warm vibe. Great food and super friendly... At the heart of Malasaña, this small restaurant has an extensive tapas-like menú perfect for sharing your dinner w family or friends Madrileño-style. Try out the Mango ravioli w foi-gras! And don't forget to leave some room for desert. Very friendly staff.

After walking way too much, having taken the longest possible route from the Prado to Malasana, we stumbled upon Bar Amor and are we glad we did. Local, local, local. Very small, maybe 10 tables and cozy on a December afternoon. Super friendly staff, very helpful. They work with a prix fix daily menu. You have your choice of two each,... More

Staying in Malasana

Neighbourhood Profile
Hip bars and galleries, independent theaters and music venues, young people with tattoos and funky hair, narrow winding streets — this is Malasaña. Near the center, Plaza Dos de Mayo is a gathering of friends outside bars, dog owners, artists under craft tents, and creative types with notebooks and sketchpads on the plaza’s benches. It may not be as neat and tidy as many other parts of the city, but this only adds to the Malasaña edge. Shops and bars here range from hippie-crunchy to upscale trendy, and on weekends, the streets are bustling around the clock as the nightlife progresses from dinner to bar to disco to late-night food. On the west side of the neighbourhood is the subdistrict called Conde Duque, named after a large pink fort in its center that has been converted into a cultural center for exhibitions and performances. Prettier yet just as edgy, this intimate corner of Malasaña is home to a young international community.
