I enjoyed with my family in the restaurant, it was clean and nice. Waiters were very polite and friendly. Dishes were big and tasted well. Well located. I recommend it!

As this restaurant is just a little off the main tourist traffic route, it has to work a little harder to attract custom. I happened to see a billboard advert on the corner of the main road and decided to take a chance - I was intrigued to find out what was on offer for a 3 course lunch for... More

On a very wet day, we took a flyer from a street distributor and only went there because we had to get out of the rain. It was full inside, and a couple of ladies who pushed past us to get in, turned and left. If they had waited, they would have been told that there was an upstairs dining... More

This was a very good experience! I find it very difficult to believe this is the same restaurant that received the bad reviews! The restaurant has a very nice atmosphere, the staff was pleasant and friendly, and most importantly what we ordered was excellent! We had the menu of the day with a nice bottle of wine that included entree,... More

We had a lunch of the day at the restaurant which was buzzing with activities. Plenty of locals. The starters were good, had the black rice and a salad. Portion was satisfying and the food was tasty. Mains were good as well and dessert was just as lovely. At 11Euros per pax, it was a good meal.

That's the worst trap in Madrid city... I tought it was a good idea in our walking trip from Atocha Railway to Real Madrid Stadium to have lunch here. It was the worst reception we have received in our entire 20 days trip. They don't deserve a TripAdvisor sign at the door! I hate it! If I could I would... More

We were looking for a place for lunch on a main street in Madrid, and were handed an advertising leaflet. It pays to advertise if you're slightly off the beaten track, as this restaurant is. We had an excellent three-course set meal on the ground floor for €11 per head. I don't know what it's like at night, but it... More

Found Cibeles on the last day of our visit in Madrid. Wish we would have found it earlier. Enjoyed the lunch time meal very much. My husband throughly enjoyed the day's special. Would recommend it to others for a meal that seems prepared from scratch, instead of just heated up like the other meals that we have had here.

We stopped in by chance for lunch on the ground floor while touring Madrid. We all 6 ordered from the fixed price menu at 11 euros and were pleased that it included an appetizer, main dish, dessert and drink. Desserts were OK but the appetizers were incredible and the main dishes were all good. All the choices seemed to be... More

Staying in Barrio de Salamanca

Neighbourhood Profile
Barrio de Salamanca
Broad, tree-lined avenues with pretty streetlights frame the neighbourhood of Barrio Salamanca. With beautiful condominium buildings that make up most blocks in this area, this part of town is refined and quiet. It is also host to a few of the city's large shopping avenues, including Calle Serrano and Calle Jose Ortega y Gasset. A walk down these streets will reveal upscale chains, small boutiques, and plenty of opportunities for shopping or checking out the stylish displays. The locals here are polished and fashionable, the atmosphere is leisurely, and the lush Retiro Park on the southern border is yet another opportunity to enjoy the outdoors. A stroll through Barrio Salamanca is all about admiring the beautiful architecture, window-shopping, and people-watching in this upper-crust corner of Madrid.
