The menu is elaborated with passion. The flavors are a sorprise, and the desserts have the soul of Madrid.

Hated it. Patatas bravas had no flavor, the server didn't understand my English and served me noodles even though I did not order them. We ate it as to not waste the food. The waiter did not realize that I ordered the Tigre croquettes. Decided to skip it because the food was very underwhelming. Food is extremely overpriced and under... More

We came here for some red wine and a few tapas dishes. It has a really nice atmosphere and there is a good selection of tapas dishes. We had the Russian salad, some cheese and ribs. Highly recommended, with great service. We will be back there again.

We liked this place. Food was tasty and high-quality, but the most we enjoyed were the desserts: piquant and unusual receipts.

Dear Annal v7, Thank you for the kind words regarding the restaurant. The desserts are all homemade, and we always keep the touch of its tradition flavour! I hope you had the chance to try our white chocolate soap with violet essence, covered with citrus and lime foam, it´s part of the taste of Madrid. Hope to see you soon... More

Incredibly good food, carefully prepared, and nicely presented. Our table was in a small courtyard, somewhat removed from the tapas bar, so it was quiet and sedate, and gave the waiter the opportunity to talk with us about the menu and the wine choices. My wife and I had a bottle of excellent wine (at a great price) and shared... More

While traveling in Madrid after a week of Vaughantown, as an anglo teacher in their program, my traveling companion and I spent several days in Madrid at Calle Cava Baja in a rented flat. Across the street we found this restaurant, by chance, and walked in on Tuesday evening about 10:30 for dinner. A marvelous experience awaited us. The restaurant... More

Staying in La Latina

Neighbourhood Profile
La Latina
La Latina is a charming neighbourhood with two unique personalities. At first glance, it’s distinctly old-world, with narrow streets weaving a maze among charming stone buildings in sunny, bright colors like yellow and pink. The other side of La Latina is characterized by a young population and a bohemian vibe, as evidenced by a dynamic and evolving selection of new bars, shops, coworking spaces, and other businesses popping up in the area. In the northern part of the neighbourhood, the Cava Alta and Cava Baja streets constitute the tapas center of Madrid, where each age-old restaurant serves up distinctive specialties like huevos rotos and patatas bravas. Locals have come here for generations to while away hours over drinks and tapas with friends. On Sundays and public holidays, the streets to the south of La Latina metro station transform into a giant open-air market full of locals sifting through tent after tent of art, apparel, and antiques. Any day of the week, the intriguing blend of the traditional and the hip make the streets of La Latina worth exploring.
