My wife and I stopped in for some evening Food and a couple of beers. Staff friendly enough, we had some tapas where the stand out was the Anchovies in vinegar and croquettes. The entrecôte was ok but needed a bit of seasoning when cooked....More

We hadn't planned on where to eat and came upon this restaurant while looking for somewhere atmospheric with tapas. The music inside was quite loud when we arrived but as the crowds gathered, this seemed less intrusive. The waiter was helpful and even told us...More

A very busy place which was a bit frenetic when we visited. However, service was efficient. Although not advertised as such there were vegan/vegetarian options available. Our lunch was very tasty and there was plenty to fill us up.

For over 12 years I have been visiting Majaderitos cafe with family and guests for breakfast of coffee and churros, for which they are justly famous. The churros are made in their own glass-fronted kitchen (between 7:00am - 11:30am every day except Sundays) . It...More

Sign outside states "Best Paella in Madrid" - don't believe it. We had seafood paella for which we had to wait 40mins. Portion is decent but was way overcooked. Rice is burned, meat is falling apart. Staff seemed uninterested. Would not go back again.

Dry meat, bad service. The waiter was more interested in talking with a table with young girls, than servicing . Two of us got the food long time before our last friend.

Wandered into town for a "nibble". Lovely sports bar on a little street. Friendly and full of locals who were arriving to watch the first round of the Copa del Rey between Real and Barcelona. Ordered the tasting menu which contained... Deep fried squid -...More

Service is slow; and we were given the wrong order and had to pay ( Jamon Iberia) double of what we ordered, in trying to resolve the issue, all staff could not understand English. I don't like being "ripped off"!

Expansive plazas, local and foreign crowds, street
performers, colorful lights, window shopping,
restaurant signs promising the best paella, ham, and
churros con chocolate- this is downtown Madrid, a
collection of plazas interconnected by a network of
side streets. Some of these side streets are wide
pedestrian shopping routes, and some are hidden, so
it's possible to duck in and out of the bustle as
