I used to love this restaurant but yesterday we were served by a terrible waitress. Food is still good but the service was just terrible as the waitress that served us was not nice at all and very inefficient: our glasses were not changed despite...More

The staff here couldn't have been more accommodating on a busy night, and when we had no reservation. Food was a clever take on more traditional Spanish dishes, and everything we tried we enjoyed. Wines too were lovely and excellent value.

Really nice food, very friendly and helpful staff, nice venue. All the dishes were delicious except the pumpkin ravioli, which the waitress recommended. However, that is my personal taste. Pumpkin is rather sweet, and I don't like sweet flavour in dishes unless they are a...More

We had been to Clarita 15 months prior and had been very impressed. When we walked in this time the decor and layout seemed a little different from our last visit. The service was excellent as was the food. The Artichokes were probably the best...More

They should profile as a wine bar and not a restaurant. Makro fried veggie rolls and a chewy, cold, processed burger. Shame on the New York Times for profiling them. The bottom of the dijon jar stank like 10 different saliva spoons. You serve mustard...More

I'd read Clarita's great reviews before I went to Madrid, but I have to officially confirm that they did not disappoint. Spanish food tends to be heavy, a lot of pork, cheeses, bread and heavy soups, so after 5 days of tapas with some combination...More

Claritas is a very well run restaurant. The food is high end and the service is very strong. I recommend the gazpacho - it had an olive oil sorbet in it that matched well with the tomato in the soup. For an entree, I had...More

We had tried to get into a favourite Restaurant near Clarita but it was full. We decided to try Clarita as they had room for us. Fantastic. The staff were wonderful and the food excellent. We would highly recommend. Probably better than the one we...More

Hip bars and galleries, independent theaters and music
venues, young people with tattoos and funky hair,
narrow winding streets — this is Malasaña. Near the

the plaza’s benches. It may not be as neat and tidy as
many other parts of the city, but this only adds to
