We had a great evening at this location. The atmosphere was nice and Marcos was a great waiter. If you don't speak spanish, this is your place. English was no problem. We were recommended (sweet) fried Aubergines and some fries with Ham (great ham) and eggs. Food was very good!

This restaurant is located in a crowded commercial street in the center of Madrid and for me it was a tourist trap. The food seems fancy in the menu, but not so much in the plate. It was more like fast-food, nothing really special. The serving was fast.

Disappointed! The paella looked as average as in it's photo in the menu. Pricey (25€ Paella Mixed for 2) for frozen food: Calamari looked and felt like a piece of tasteless rubber, mussels swimming in their defrosted water, rice just cooked and the mixture was still a bit liquid. This is Madrid! We may not expect perfection but at least... More

Me and a friend had 2 different dishes. Both were disaster ( mine was an antricote steak) , because it was chewy, not warm and absorted with water. It means that the meet was frozen , not a fresh one, before it was put into oven/grill. My stomage reacted accordinlly during the night. Just avoid going

Quite busy on a Friday night (like every restaurant in the centre of Madrid), yet service good and pretty quick. Nice garlic soup & incredible salad with Spanish ham & avocado mousse. Would go back.

We found this tapas resteraunt by accident. Fantastic food and service. We paid €72 for 4 people to eat and drink. We had wine for the ladies and beer for the guys and more food than you could shake a stick at. We were surprised how much food that just kept coming. The photo we uploaded only shows half of... I went tonight. I order a beef burger and a platter of two. The beef burger came with cheese not the ham, and the platter came with uncooked meat half box of potatoes and two of the three sauce almost empty. Awful customer service. I've heard the waiter telling a potential customer that they didn't speak English at the establishment and left the client standing there, he didn't even try to invite him to take a seat. I speak Spanish, and the same waiter barely spoke to me, very rude. The food is not even good. Avoid this place, there are... More

Staying in Centro

Neighbourhood Profile
Centro
Expansive plazas, local and foreign crowds, street performers, colorful lights, window shopping, restaurant signs promising the best paella, ham, and churros con chocolate- this is downtown Madrid, a collection of plazas interconnected by a network of side streets. Some of these side streets are wide pedestrian shopping routes, and some are hidden, so it's possible to duck in and out of the bustle as desired. The iconic Puerta del Sol is the giant crossroads of the city and a must-see attraction at any time of the day. The nearby Plaza Mayor, completely enclosed by historic red buildings, is an ideal place to grab a bite to eat outside, amidst scores of tables and people out for a stroll. Plaza Isabel II (also known as “Opera”) is smaller and a good meeting spot, and the stately Plaza del Oriente is the front yard of the Royal Palace. Centro can be touristy (pickpockets are unfortuately not unheard-of here), crowded, and sometimes gimmicky, but it is also the place to experience classic Madrid.
