The food could not have been worse. Our orders took very, very long. No wonder it was the only place in the Mercado de San Anton that had available tables. The ceviche de champiñón was inedible.

We stopped at this place inside the market on the upper floor which has a great terrace. The food was good but the service was slow. Took an hour between our Spinach Salad and our Chicken & Jalapeño burritos. The staff was disorganized and the whole market was packed on a Saturday afternoon...

This little charming place has a very nice terrace which makes you accept the slightly overpriced food. Drinks are good and food is ok, however it's the atmosphere that makes the place. Some complain about the service, however this is a place where you walk up to the counter and order...#thisisnotarestaurant

We enjoyed some wine on the terrace and it was very pleasant. Much less crowded than the rooftop restaurant, it was nice to be outside.

It's a cute space with a great terrace, I liked the simple deco. The service was provided by a pleasant girl, very attentive Food quality was good and prices below the average in Madrid I'd get back

It is compose by one vegetable cream plus a main course from our selection of plates. (any of the waitress ask us about the selection) They bring us... More

Good morning. We're really sorry you couldn't appreciate our place as much as we'd like to. We try to work hard so our service and quality of food is worth the visit, but as we're an art place trying to finance our activities with this "weekend bar", I guess we still have a lot to learn. We apologize for that.... More

This was indeed the worst service we have ever received. The waitresses were really slow and they had a bad attitude. It's a nice setting but that's about it... I had to get up five times to ask for our drinks and we were given something different from what we had initially ordered. When our warm drinks arrived, my tea... More

Staying in Chueca

Neighbourhood Profile
Chueca is the hip, gay neighbourhood of Madrid where many of the streets are narrow and intimate, but where the hustle and bustle and the eclectic storefronts and people give it a distinctly urban feel. The main thoroughfare is Calle Hortaleza and the main square is Plaza Chueca, completely filled with terraza tables serving copas (mixed drinks) during summer. A mixture of trendy and grungy, some of the adult businesses here are explicitly racy in their signage. From the rainbow flags to the signs above the entrances of its many funky bars, to the date spot restaurants, Chueca is a vibrant and colorful place. It's always interesting to explore the different corners of Chueca by day, and by night, the area becomes a major nightlife destination when the clubs open their doors.
