Visited a friend in Madrid this weekend. She took us to this restaurant & the food was fantastic!! So last night we had tuna tartar & wasabi eggs, suckling pig, cheese fondue, and an amazing caramel fondant with plantain ice cream!!! Made it taste like banoffee pie! Would highly recommend!

Amazing food, especially the tortilla - the best I've ever tasted. The staff were great and the place was buzzing. I would definitely recommend Juana La Loca as the best place to eat in La Latina.

We were lucky to get a table in this fantastic tapas bar while we were strolling through LaLatina. What an experience! I had the best tortilla of my life. Incredibly tasty. We also loved the selection of Spanish wines and the dishes in general looked delicious and tasted amazing. Highly recommendable when you are in Madrid/LaLatina area. A hidden secret.

This is a quality tapas bar/restaurant located just off the cava baja tapas district/walk in central Madrid. However, it was a "million times" better than all the tapas bars on cava baja (most of which I cant even be bothered writing a tripadvisor review about), even though it was a little more expensive per dish. The restaurant itself is modern,... More

This was honestly some of the best food I've eaten in a very long time. The gnocchi and grilled steak were some of the best I've ever eaten. Definitely worth a visit although it is very popular (this might just of been because we went on a Saturday night) so be prepared to wait a while for a table. It... More

Nice choice of very typical dishes, tortilla is a total must - juicy and rich in taste. "Huevos rotos" and a surprisingly tender bull's tail - tried it for the first time and the impression left is much higher than expected. Vine choice is good. The place is full with locals, dinners after 8pm should be booked.

Everything we order was amazing! The duck confit wraps was one of the best dishes I've had in my life, I had to order another serve! The soft shell crab buns and tuna sashimi (special) were also exceptional! Service was great and restaurant was high class. The menu was a bit more expensive than expected but so worth it after... We passed by several times until we finally decided to stop and check it out. The best decision in this trip. It is the best place for pinxos on Madrid and after it any other place will be bad... Try anything in the menu you will not be disappointed. A must go on Madrid

Staying in La Latina

Neighbourhood Profile
La Latina
La Latina is a charming neighbourhood with two unique personalities. At first glance, it’s distinctly old-world, with narrow streets weaving a maze among charming stone buildings in sunny, bright colors like yellow and pink. The other side of La Latina is characterized by a young population and a bohemian vibe, as evidenced by a dynamic and evolving selection of new bars, shops, coworking spaces, and other businesses popping up in the area. In the northern part of the neighbourhood, the Cava Alta and Cava Baja streets constitute the tapas center of Madrid, where each age-old restaurant serves up distinctive specialties like huevos rotos and patatas bravas. Locals have come here for generations to while away hours over drinks and tapas with friends. On Sundays and public holidays, the streets to the south of La Latina metro station transform into a giant open-air market full of locals sifting through tent after tent of art, apparel, and antiques. Any day of the week, the intriguing blend of the traditional and the hip make the streets of La Latina worth exploring.
