As far as Japanese restaurants go in Spain, most being the modern type, this is a truly traditional Japanese restaurant cantine decor, simpler dish presentation, etc. The food is very good indeed and quality of all fish dishes is excellent. However you do pay a lot for it and most annoyingly you do have to put up with pretty rude service.... More

There's not much to say. This is, without discussion, the best Japanese restaurant in Madrid. Not the fanciest, not the most expensive, but the one run by real Japanese experts who know what they're doing. I think it was also the first one to open. It's pretty small and always crowded, so make sure you book your table a few... More

From the outside it doesnt look that good at all, but once inside you know right away that this is a place where you can get real Japanese food. We ate the "berenjena" which was so good! The sushi was also really nice and not expensive at all. If you don't like wasabi, don't forget to mention it, because the... More

Went with my wife and 2 year old. The restaurant was literally empty except for a single table with 4 folks We didn't have a reservation. First question was " you didn't tell us you were bringing a stroller!" Rudely asked by one of the female waiters. I then explained we didn't call previously and the response was then that... More

A amazing discovery in the hart of Madrid business district: a truly Japanese restaurant with over 20 years history. One of the best tempura I ever tried and tastiest sushi and rolls served the authentic way. None of this customization for wimpy westeners.

In business for some 30 years I believe, this neighbourhood Japanese restaurant is on a pretty dingy street, with only a door and a neon sign marking it. Blink and you'll miss it. My third visit, and better than ever. We arrived at 10:15 on a week night, knowing they were fully booked (that's fully booked twice over - they... More

small but cosy place, with a few japanese style tables - reserve those if you can. this is the best japanese food i have tried in madrid, the sashimi "melts" in your mouth, the tempura was authentic with the really spiky crunchy batter, the eel was great, and to top off the perfect meal a cold sake. i would eat... this is a simple place in terms of decor with consistently top quality food; go with the advice of "Naomi" - she knows what to recommend; the "toro" sashimi is to die for.

Simple humble place and the traditional home style dishes are superb. Try the Japanese callos (tripe) I loved it and normally can't stomach the stuff.

This is by far the best Japanese in Madrid. It is a traditional-looking Japanese restaurant with superb quality fish. The eel, sea urchin and toro nigiri's are really amazing!!! Highly recommended and the price is really fair, much lower than more upscale Japanese restaurants in Madrid and with much better food.
