We ate here after reading the reviews....on the positive, its a beautiful building that's more a museum, in a brilliant location beside the museum. The staff were wonderful almost like guides, explaining the history of the building which is truly impressive. I am sorry to say the food was not good, a prawn salad with more rocket than prawns, then... More

Well I have to say this was the dearest meal we have had and certainly not the best! Having eaten here last year for lunch we booked to go again this time in the evening. Salad starter I shared with my husband was very nice I had cod which was nice then tirimusu which I have to say a big... More

Lucky to get a table on a Tuesday night - yes we were but they were fully booked and table only at 9.15 and understandably justified. This restaurant is simply superb. Everything resembles fine dining yet without the exaggerated prices. We tried the potato croquettes, scallops ( my favourite) baked goats cheese, calamari and shrimp, crispy cod to mention a... We found this place on TA and went for a late lunch. It was a bit intimidating to walk in, and there seemed to be some discussion about whether they should let us in, but we were seated before too long. We didn't order much, be we loved what we had (local ham, etc). But we could see and smell... More

By the side of the Roman Amphitheatre, this lovely old building has been given an unusual contemporary twist. It has areas of glass floors where you can view the old wells and artifacts. This is definitely worth a visit.

Had high expectations due to all the good reviews. I can only assume we caught them on a bad day. There was one poor waiter running around looking after a full restaurant but not quite managing. Waited quite a while for our order to be taken only then to be told both my stater and main course were not available.... More

We met friends for lunch, coming from afar, and were not disappointed. The restaurant is a little out of the way but next to the Roman theater - one of the main city sites - and sits atop a part of it, giving guests guided tours after the meal. It is also the centerpoint of a local cultural association. The... More

We visited during a rainy day and they received us warmly. The menu was diverse. We shared a giant salad and afterwards I had the tuna, which was awesome in taste and very nicely served. The waiters were very kind. The price is not the cheapest in town but it's not so expensive either. The salad was around 10 eur... More

Been here 4 times now and always take our visitors to this restaurant when in Cartagena. It is a MUST, I promise you will not be disappointed by the service, the food, the wine, the staff and the location. I would compare this restaurant with some of the nicest restaurants in London and you certainly wont be paying London prices.

Our friend recommended this gem of a restaurant to us for a special birthday lunch and it did not disappoint! Beautiful food, an incredible setting - our room had once served as a water tank for the nearby roman amphitheatre - and attentive staff. The owner's pride in his restaurant and the workmanship throughout shone through. A fantastic afternoon x
