La Taberna De La Abuela is an excellent Tapas bar in Benidorm that has a great interior and is one of the friendliest tapas bars we went to when holidaying in Benidorm.Located in an area of Benidorm that is teeming with good Spanish and British bars and pubs'we had just had a meal in the Penny Farthing restaurant and pub... We found this superb authentic traditional Spanish tavern today ( 15 June ) as we were heading into the Old Town Benidorm and what a great find. A rustic exterior and a fantastic interior with superb tiling and great furnishings, i love the long tiled serving bar, it really is a cool place to enjoy some nice cold beer and... More

This little tapas bar is simply the best in "Tapas alley" the vast array of tapas on offer is mind blowing ! In addition to the huge choice on display there are " specials " to order off the boards . The fried calamari is unlike any I've had before and is so fresh ! The meatballs and potatoes are... More

Lovely bottle of wine with tasty tapas! Very nice small Spanish Traditional Tapas bar in a small street in Old Benidorm. Wine served in a nice glass.

This bar/restaurant was part of the annual tapas contest - 2€ for a special tapa, to be compared with others in the contest and voted on. Their offering this year was a hot and cold theme on prawns - quite successful, imaginative, but slightly underseasoned. The Taberna is typically Spanish and the prices very reasonable. Full menues are on offer... More
