We didn't go to the main restaurant but to the overspill (?) restaurant which is only open at the weekend. This is at the end of the street opposite the Torres del Quart. We were staying close by and just happened to be passing as they were preparing for lunch service and booked for lunch on the Sunday. Just as... More

We found this place after wandering through the entire city center, because we could not find a place which had places to sit. Finally, we were lucky enough to find it here. The ordering went smooth and the house wine was pretty good. But, the Paella took the cake ! It was one of the best we had in Spain.

Our hotel recommended this restaurant after our initial choice was fully booked. We weren't disappointed. The restaurant is very modern inside but very comfortable. Our booking was for 9pm but within half and hour or so the restaurant was full. My wife and I shared the fried Camembert and croquettes which were both delicious and then had the traditional Valencian... More

The food at the Canela is very good but expensive for what it is, we had the seafood paella and struggled to find the seafood. However, what was there was very tasty. The main problem with this place is the pompous staff, we went in for lunch and were asked if we had a reservation when I replied no the... More

We were not disappointed with our first authentic Paella experience, great starters as well - definitely recommend a visit if you're visiting Valencia!

Ate the seafood paella which was delicious! The paella takes time to prepare so don't expect to receive your paella within five minutes after ordering. Instead keep yourself busy with a glass of red wine and the complentary amuse and olives while you wait. I promise it's worth the wait, proper Valencian food! 10/10

Expensive - pretencious - Paella Valenciana poorly tasting. Possibly other paellas should be better, but I dont feel to be willing to try again this place in future trips to Valencia. In sommary: a big deception

Best paella in Valencia. Friendly staff. As well as paella they also serve a range of soft rice dishes. Deserts were excellent. They also have a good wine list.It is very popular so one needs to book.

We reserved a table in this restaurant, after reading the good reviews. The food was good (tasty octopus and paella, even if little bit too salty), but we were disappointed by the service: we knew the table was available just until 10 pm, but we did not expect to be told to go out in rude manners while still finishing... What can I say? Best paella ever. And we are no strangers to paella as we frequent Spain. Service is excellent, enough choice for vegetarians and cost ambiance.
