You must get a panini here! It's a small, deli-style shop with limited but comfortable seating and, of course, wine. Delicious and very inexpensive!

Wandering around the lovely old town of Matera I fancied a beer so popped into the nearest bar at the far end of Piazza Del Sedil. I'm so glad I did because besides a choice of good local ales and wine the two young ladies there produce beautiful fresh platters of mixed meats salamis and cheese to order. So we... More

L'Arturo is just perfect! The quality of the products is amazing! We had one of the best tagliere ever (I am a great fun of it!) Great variety of local products, wonderful wine, great athmosphere and the owners are easy going, friendly and very profissional!

We drank beer and ate a great plate of meat and cheeses at L'Arturo. They were friendly and helpful and had a good selection of beer, not easy to find in Italy. Arturo is a nice guy and helped us with our Italian.

We were ready for a light dinner snack and heard this was a great place to go for local dishes. There was so much food from our meat and cheese plate and caprese, we took some back to the hotel. The atmosphere is casual and fun. Tons of locals stop by and converse even with the tourists. The quality is... More

Stopped out of the cold rain for a quick lunch. But no coffee or tea! Warm fresh bun with fresh meat sliced for you and great choice of cheese. Good selection wine and beer. Small sitting area

A true charmer Arturo and his good looking helpers chose the best of what Basilicata has to offer and put it on our table. Now, weeks later we are drooling over an idea of having that plate of local cheese, meat cuts and bread again .. I agree with some of the reviewers: it is not cheap. But try the... More

Have a nice glass of wine with some local cheese and 'crudo' before dinner here. Arturo is the charming owner of this place and a b&b in the Sassi. An ideal start of your evening!

We really like this enoteca and came here twice during our stay in Matera. We sampled nice wines and had a really tasty platter with local meats and cheese. The price was very good and the staff is very welcoming and helpful! We would definitely return!

we ordered three platters of ham and cheese and a few beers and spent 100 euro. Yes, we were eight, but considering the quantity of food, more than 10 euros per each was really a little bit too much, especially considering the normal fees in Matera. The place however, is nice. One note though: the owners should smile a little... More
